The song "Revolution" was written by John Lennon and released on the "White Album" in 1968. It was also on the B side of the single "Hey Jude".

3. If a piece of orchestral music included a part for a pair of maracas, in which section of the orchestra should the maracas player be placed?

Answer: Percussion

Maracas are played by being shaken and consist of a rattle attached to a handle. They are usually played in pairs (one for each hand) and are classified as a percussion instrument. Since maracas were developed for use in Caribbean and Latin American music, they don't usually turn up in an orchestra (as these traditionally include the instruments required to play European classical music) but there is no rule that says they can't be incorporated into a modern orchestral work! The percussion section of a modern orchestra contains a much wider variety of instruments than the classical orchestras of previous centuries and will often include instruments required to play particular styles of music from around the world.
