Answer: False

Andy is a star athlete. The song is somewhat controversial in its interpretation. It has been suggested that Andy was someone Brandon had a crush on in high school, although Brandon has maintained that he is straight (especially because he is happily married to his wife, Tana).

10. Though her name is never mentioned in the song, which Killers song is about a girl named Jodi Jones?

Answer: Where is She

Jodi Jones was a 14-year-old Scottish girl, murdered by her boyfriend. The Killers heard of her story and decided to write the song about her from her mother's perspective. The song didn't go over so well with the Scottish press, so they only played the song a few times and it never made it onto a record.

Answer: Get Trashed

"Get Trashed" was on the "Smile Like You Mean It" single (Lizard King CD, UK).
12. Who is Michael Valentine?

Answer: A gambler

Michael Valentine, AKA Rod Pardey Jr., is a professional gambler. He also sang and played in several bands with Killers drummer Ronnie Vannucci, before Ronnie joined the Killers.
13. In "Sam's Town", Brandon sings of how he still remembers his grandma's wake. What was his grandma's name?

Answer: Dixie

"I still remember Grandma Dixie's wake / I'd never really known anybody to die before". "Sam's Town" is full of American symbolism, and Brandon wanted it to reflect the good old America. The Killers' second CD also features a strong Bruce Springsteen influence.
14. Brandon sings about the sad story of his uncle Jonny. Which of these substances did Uncle Jonny abuse?

Answer: Cocaine

The song "Uncle Jonny" touches on his cocaine use. The drug made Jonny so paranoid, he thought the aliens were going to come and steal his semen. Eventually, Jonny sobered up and was able to hear the song his nephew wrote about him.
15. In "Sam's Town", Brandon mentions a brother: "Red, white and blue upon a birthday cake / My brother, he was born on the Fourth of July and that's all". So is this just American symbolism, or was Brandon's brother really born on Independence Day?

Answer: Yes

Brandon's brother, Shane, is twelve years older than Brandon. Shane got Brandon into some of his favorite bands.
16. In the song "Believe Me, Natalie", Natalie is told it is her last chance to what?

Answer: Disco

I am not sure if this is true, but I have seen rumors on song lyric meanings websites that Natalie is a dancer with AIDS, hence it is her last chance to disco.
17. Before "Read My Mind" came to be, it was a slightly different song known by another name. The song was called "Little" who?

Answer: Angela

When the Killers first recorded the song as "Little Angela", their producer didn't like the lyrics. Brandon worked on it a bit and tried out some new tunes with it, and after a couple hours, "Read My Mind" was born. Brandon has stated that "Read My Mind" is the best song they've ever written.
18. In "Believe Me, Natalie", the surname of a famous artist is mentioned. Which artist?

Answer: Monet

"There is an old cliche / Under your Monet, baby". I am not exactly sure what this lyric means. "Believe Me, Natalie" seems to be one of the hardest Killers songs to interpret.
19. Which title song character is extremely jealous?

Mr. Brightside is arguably the most popular Killers song, rivaled by "Somebody Told Me". As stated in the song, Mr. Brightside is a jealous lover who catches his girlfriend cheating on him.
