"One Man Woman/One Woman Man", "I Don't Like To Sleep Alone" and "(I Believe) There's Nothing Stronger Than Our Love" were other duets by Paul Anka and Odia Coates released in 1974 and 1975. She had a minor hit with a song written by Anka titled "You Come And You Go" in 1976. Paul wrote "You're Having My Baby" and was scheduled to record it as a solo but Coates happened to be in the studio and a United Artists producer suggested the idea of recording the song as a duet.
Odia Coates was the daughter of a minister from Mississippi and learned her vocal craft singing gospel music. She passed away in 1991 at the age of 49. Paul Anka had several other chart successes in the US, but "You're Having My Baby" was the final US Number One for him.
Dorothy Moore had a 1976 hit with "Misty Blue". Phoebe Snow's biggest hit was the 1975 "Poetry Man". and English singer Kiki Dee did a Number One duet with Elton John in 1976 titled "Don't Go Breaking My Heart".

"(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" was on Adams' "Waking Up the Neighbours" album, released the same year as the movie. He won a Grammy for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture.
"The Commitments" was a 1991 release about a band that featured a musical soundtrack. Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery starred in the second "Highlander" film, "Highlander II: The Quickening" and "Paradise" was a 1991 film with Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. The American group The Chords had a Top Ten hit with "Sh-boom" before the Crew Cuts took it to Number One. The original members of the band met at Saint Michael's Choir School in Toronto. The Four Lads also formed while at the same school. When the Crew Cuts began appearing on a local Canadian show the members all quit their day jobs and became full time singers.

They began appearing on more US and Canadian TV shows where they became known for doing renditions of popular songs. They released over 30 singles between 1953 and 1959, with "Sh-Boom" becoming their only Number One in the States. The Diamonds were Canadians who had US hits with "Little Darlin'" and "The Stroll".

The Canadian Four Lads had a chart hit in 1952 with "Mocking Bird" and followed up with "Istanbul".

The Penguins were an American group who released "Earth Angel" in 1954. The Crew Cuts did a cover version of the song the following year.

Andy Kim was born Andrew Youakim in Montreal, Canada. He began charting songs in 1968 with "How'd We Ever Get This Way?". The song barely made the Top Twenty in the US. The following year he broke the Top Ten with his cover version of "Baby, I Love You" and co-wrote the Archies' hit, "Sugar, Sugar" with Jeff Barry. Kim spent the next few years maintaining a rigorous US touring schedule but failed to chart another significant hit, losing his record deal in the process.

He formed his own record label and funded a recording of "Rock Me Gently".

His efforts paid off when Capitol Records signed a deal for the song and it began a 14-week trip to the top of the US charts in 1974. George McCrae is a native of West Palm Beach, Florida. David Essex hails from London and The Hues Corporation formed in Santa Monica California.

The US Number One "Give It to Me" featured the mutual talents of Nelly, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and is a single release from Timbaland's 2007 "Shock Value" album.

Johnny is one of the many artists who have done versions of the song. Neil Young was born in Ontario and worked with various bands before migrating to California and becoming part of Buffalo Springfield in 1967.
