Kim Peek was born on November 11, 1959, and is considered one of the most famous savants. He is capable of memorizing mostly everything he reads in books. Peek has the ability to read a book within an hour because he can read two pages at once. In addition, he can memorize musical pieces and play them on the piano rather skillfully.

Despite his memorization capabilities, Peek has trouble understanding proverbs and metaphors, as he takes them literally instead of figuratively.

Answer: James Henry Pullen

James Henry Pullen, who was in born Dalston, London in 1835, became a master carpenter and produced works that interested the king and queen of England, as well as the king of Wales. He was obsessed with making models of ships. His most famous work is "The Great Eastern", which is a detailed, model-size replica of a ship. Even though he had great mechanical ability, he could only read and write one syllable words. Pullen died in 1916.

As an infant, his adopted mother, May Lemke, had to teach him to swallow and walk. May would teach him to walk by strapping Leslie's legs to hers while walking so that he could possibly learn to mimic the movements.

After Leslie had successfully learned to walk by himself, he began his music career. May found that he could play pieces that he had only heard once.

Gottfried Mind, who was born on November 17, 1814, was known as the "Cat-Raphael" because of the exceptional quality of his paintings of cats. He lived during the 18th century. As a child he was intrigued by a German artist, Legel, who had lived with his family. Mind followed Legel everywhere and learned from his skills.

His father disliked having Gottfried use paper as a medium because he believed it was not worthy of art. Instead, his father encouraged the use of wood. Mind became quite skilled at wood carving as well as painting during his life.
