Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Second wife and cousin of German born theoretical physicist

Answer: Elsa Einstein

Elsa and Albert Einstein were children of mothers who were sisters and children of fathers who were first cousins. Elsa Einstein was both her birth name and her husband's family name (the name she used after her marriage). She and Albert had known each other since early childhood but did not have a romantic relationship until after each had been married to someone else.

As Albert Einstein's wife, Elsa was very important in his life and career. It has been acknowledged that she spent a lot of time and energy making decisions for the family and protecting them from unsavory influences; allowing Albert to focus on his work.
2. Early 20th century developmental psychologist; first to use the phrase "identity crisis"

Answer: Erik Erikson

Erik Erikson became known as one of the most influential psychologists and psychoanalysts of the 20th century. Serving without the benefit of a university degree, Erikson taught at such prestigious schools as Harvard, Yale, Berkeley and University of California during his career.

It was known his mother was from a prestigious family who had lived near Copenhagen, Denmark but since Erik was born out-of-wedlock little was known about his father. It was believed questions about his own circumstance contributed to his life-long studies about the human development of identity.
3. Starred in TV's police drama, "CHiPs" (1977-1983); reality TV, infomercials, commercials

Answer: Erik Estrada

Erik Estrada was born in the neighborhood of Upper Manhattan (New York City) which has been known as (among other monikers) Spanish Harlem. His parents were both of Puerto Rican descent. Erik made his screen debut as a part of the cast of the widely popular 1970 film, "The Cross and the Switchblade" in which Pat Boone had a leading role. Erik acted in many roles on various television shows but it was his role as "Ponch" on "CHiPs" for which he was most famous.

He parlayed that popularity from the late 1970s/early 1980s into work with several law enforcement agencies and child safety groups well into the 21st century.
4. American actor; son of Martin Sheen; member of 1980s "Brat Pack"

Answer: Emilio Estevez

Emilio Estevez was the oldest child of American actor, Martin Sheen (whose birth name was Ramón Estévez) and American actress, Janet Templeton (who also used the sir names of Sheen and Estevez during her career). Before he began his own career in acting Emilio would often go with his father to locations where films were being made. Emilio's first "big screen" appearance came when - at the young age of 11 years old - he had a bit part in his father's movie, "Badlands" (1973).

He would continue acting as his career of choice; some of his best known movies were "The Breakfast Club" (1983), "Young Guns" (1988) and "The War at Home" (1996).
5. Birth name: Eric Lynn Wright; part of the super group, N.W.A; Godfather of Gangsta Rap

Answer: Eazy-E

Eric Lynn Wright was born in September, 1964 in a suburb of Los Angeles, California that - at the time - was known to be an area of high crime and extensive poverty. Much has been written about Wright's involvement in illegal sale of drugs; the lines have become blurred between fact and fiction.

It was believed the tragic death of one of Wright's cousins convinced him music would make a better career than selling drugs. Wright began Ruthless Records by recording music in his family's garage. It was then he adopted the moniker, Easy-E. Later other successful music artists would be associated with Ruthless Records - among them were Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella and Arabian Prince. Easy-E was only 30 years old when he died of AIDS-related pneumonia.
6. South African born professional golfer; twice won both U.S. Open and The Open Championship

Answer: Ernie Els

Ernie Els (birth name Theodore Ernest Els) was a naturally gifted athlete who excelled in several sports - among those golf, tennis, rugby and cricket - as a young man. He won the South African Amateur Stroke Play Championship of golf shortly before his 20th birthday and declared his intention to enter the professional golf circuit soon thereafter. By 1994 he had won his first major championship - the U.S. Open - and his list of career wins would become long and extensive.

He won golf titles and championships around the world and was rated in the top ten of professional golfers for years - often seeded at number one. Els son, Ben, was born in the early years of 21st century and was diagnosed with autism.

After his son's diagnosis, Els and his wife, Liezl, supported charities and foundations devoted to autism, among their many philanthropic endeavors.
7. American actor; films include "That Thing You Do!" and "Sweet Home Alabama"

Answer: Ethan Embry

Although Ethan Embry (who used the name Ethan Randall early is his career) was not a universal super-star, his range as an actor and knowledge of the entertainment industry was well-known and well respected. By the time he was in his early twenties he had appeared in many commercials, TV shows and movies - often with "bit" parts to credit. That experience allowed him to work as producer and/or director of others' works.

After Ethan worked in the 1991 film, "Dutch", (he was only 13 years old) with Ed O'Neill the two actors developed a very close bond - almost like father-son relationship - that would last many years.
8. British singer/songwriter; "Waiting All Night" and "New Me"

Answer: Ella Eyre

Ella Eyre's debut studio album, "Feline", was released in August 2015. It peaked at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart. That album included the song "If I Go" - its first charted song - and the hit song, "Gravity", that was a duet with Eyre and another British singer, DJ Fresh.

The beautiful West London native had competed in swimming in her early teens without very much emphasis on her music. It was after she studied musical theater at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology that she considered music as a career.

Her musical style was described as sultry and expressive with influences from soul, hip-hop and R&B genres.
9. American (NFL) football player; led the league in rushing yards in 2016 and 2018

Answer: Ezekiel Elliott

Ezekiel Elliott was born in Akron, Ohio in July of 1995. Many of his family members, including mother, father, grandmother and uncle, were gifted and honored athletes before him. Elliott concentrated as ardently on his academics as he did his sports during his pre-college school years; thus, he received several attractive offers for scholarships to premier universities.

He decided on the Ohio State University where he would earn numerous honors (in football) during this term there. During the 2016 NFL Draft Elliott was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys as their first pick of the year. That first year he joined the Cowboys, as a running back, when quarterback, Dak Prescott, also was drafted by the team.
10. Born in Madrid, Spain in January 2000; actress, model; TV drama, "Élite"

Answer: Ester Expósito

Ester Expósito became interested in the fine arts at a young age. After completing a series of acting courses, Ester was cast in several TV series in and around her native Madrid, Spain. It was her appearance in the Netflix teen drama, "Elité", that garnered her more notoriety and her skills more appreciation and allowed her work to be viewed by a much wider audience.

She appeared in that series from 2018 until 2020. September of 2022 saw the release of "Venus" (billed as a Spanish supernatural-horror film), Ester's first starring role in a full length film. Reviews from the horror film industry were generally favorable of the film and her work.
