Answer: Warren Spahn

Spahn played most of his Major League career with the Braves of Boston in the National League, until the team moved to Milwaukee in 1953. His final season, was split between the Mets and Giants in 1965. His last 7 career victories of 363 came in his final season. The others listed, were not born until about 50 years later.
2. Which of the following, was the first player to smack 90 doubles in a season?

Answer: None of these three

Earl Webb set a record by hitting 67 in 1931 with the Boston Red Sox. He would only play 7 seasons in the Majors, and never again hit more than 30 doubles in a season.
3. What slugger played his entire career, with the Philadelphia Phillies from 1972 to 1989, and won 10 Gold Glove Awards?

Answer: Mike Schmidt

Schmidt was not only known for his glove, as he hit 548 career home runs with the Phillies. Amongst his accomplishments were his 1980, 1981, and 1986, National League MVP Awards. He also was the 1980 World Series MVP against the Kansas City Royals.

Answer: Babe Ruth

The Babe would be the only one to have the name. Ruth broke and held so many Major League records in baseball, that it would take 25 pages, just to list the accomplishments of this great player. He received only 1 MVP award in 1923, only because a player could not win more than one MVP, until the rules of the MVP changed in 1930.
5. How many 2002 Detroit Tigers hit 20 or more home runs in the season?

The franchise began in 1962 as the Mets. Their inaugural season brought them a dismal record of 40-120 under the management of Casey Stengel. Of the Mets' starting pitching rotation, Roger Craig won the most games with 10, but also lost 24 games in the process. The Mets won the World Series in 1969.
7. What manager was the 2002 A.L. Manager of the Year?

Answer: Mike Scioscia

Scioscia won the award by guiding the Anaheim Angels to the 2002 World Series Crown. LaRussa won the award for the National League team, St. Louis Cardinals. Both Baker and Baylor won the award previous in the National League.

No team had that name or anything close, although there were some pretty strange names throughout Major League history, such as the Beaneaters, Bridegrooms, Naps, Blues, Superbas, and Bronchos, to name a few.

Answer: Curt Schilling

Although both Schilling and Randy Johnson won more than 20 in 2001, Curt was the first to reach that team milestone. Johnson set a team record in 2000 by winning 19. Although Schilling was the first Diamondback to do this, and being the 2001 World Series MVP, it was Johnson who won the National League Cy Young Award in 2001.
