After 15 seasons in the 'House that Ruth built', he moved to Boston of the National League for one season in 1935, and then retired. He hit his final 6 home runs, of his career 714, with the Boston Braves.

The others listed had retired seasons earlier. Henderson, who signed with the Dodgers in the same month, blasted his 81st lead-off home run, but the Dodgers still lost the game. It was Henderson's 296th career home run. Rickey was in his 25th season in 2003, and had changed teams 13 times.

The famous DiMaggio brothers, was with Joe being the most famous. Vince was the oldest, then Joe, and then Dom. In the 2003 season, Dom was the only one still living. Vince passed in 1986, and Joe died in 1999.
