Brooke got to know Peg English and believed she was her mother. She was horrified to learn that Peg English was actually the person who went by the code name, "Cobra." For many months, "Cobra" ran a drug trafficking ring in Pine Valley. Several years after this, Brooke reunited with her biological mother.

Answer: Sean Cudahy

Sybil Thorne was killed and Cliff Warner was arrested for her murder since he was at her apartment when her dead body was discovered. He went on trial and his chances of getting his name cleared were slim when it was revealed that, just before Sybil died, she called out Cliff's name. Thanks to testimony from Daisy Murdoch, Cliff was acquitted and the real killer turned out to be Sean Cudahy.

Answer: Erica Kane

When Cliff's trial got underway, many people were called to testify and one of them was Erica Kane. Erica got on the witness stand and claimed that she overheard Sybil demand that Cliff see her right before she was murdered. However, Cliff still managed to get acquitted once Daisy Morduch testified to who the real killer was (for more, see the "Interesting Info" section for question two).

Answer: Palmer Cortlandt

When Sean Cudahy went to prison, for murdering Sybil Thorne, his brother, Tom Cudahy, visited him one day and Sean told him that Palmer was also behind Sybil's murder. Sean told his brother that Palmer insisted that Sean see Sybil, the night she was murdered, and that he only meant to put her in fear but not to kill her. Nina heard about what Palmer ordered Sean to do and she told him she did not want to see him anymore. Palmer was not charged with anything involving Sybil Thorne's murder.

Answer: Psychologist

Phil was killed, in a plane explosion, and Ruth was upset when Tara immediately started to see a man named Mr. Jefferson so soon after Phil's death. It was revealed that Mr. Jefferson was a psychologist at a school. Tara and Mr. Jefferson got married and they decided to move to Portland, Oregon. Their first child was Kelsey Jefferson, who first appeared on "AMC" in 1995.

Answer: Betsy Kennicott

Daisy was saddened when she saw that Nina believed that Sybil being pregnant, with Phil's baby, meant she could not be with Phil. However, Daisy and Nina's friend, Betsy Kennicott, convinced Nina that Sybil did not really want her baby and just used the child to trap Cliff into marriage. Sybil gave birth to a boy named Bobby and Nina adopted Bobby.

Answer: Center City

Palmer was upset when Nina decided to leave him as well as his wife, Donna Beck. He went on a drinking binge and wound up in Center City. While in Center City, Palmer was mugged and this caused him to lose his memory. Palmer eventually got his memory back and, when he did, he was determined to win back his first wife, Daisy Murdoch, and also get back into Nina's good graces.

He accomplished both of these tasks.

Joe and Ruth had a lot on their plate with Tad, in 1981, since he started to smoke drugs. Joe and Ruth were even more infuriated, with Tad, when they realized that he stole money, from Kate's sugar bowl, to fund his drug habit. He eventually kicked his drug habit and Kate forgave him for stealing from her.

Answer: Opal Gardner

In the Summer of 1981, Opal Gardner and her daughter, Jenny, arrived in Pine Valley. Opal proved to be quite the schemer when she faked a heart condition, right when she came to town, and forced her daughter to get a job at a sleazy bar. Despite her knack for causing trouble, Opal loved Jenny a lot and worked on having a relationship with her biological son, Tad Martin. Opal was also known for finding success quickly.

When she first came to Pine Valley, she was poor but, within a year and a half, she opened up her own business, The Glamorama.

Answer: Kent Bogard

Erica got romantically involved with her boss, Brandon Kingsley, but she was upset when she found out that he had a family of his own, including a wife and two children. She met a new cosmetics businessman named Kent Bogard and Kent offered Erica the chance to be a spokeswoman for a new line of cosmetics named exclusively for her. Erica could not pass up this opportunity so she went to work for Kent Bogard.
