The next time we saw Paolo, Leo hovered over his dead body. Leo was arrested for Paolo's murder but the culprit turned out to be Vanessa since she drugged his drink and that caused Paolo to die. Vanessa, eventually, confessed to killing Paolo when David made her think she was dying. Leo was present to hear her confession and he told his mother he wanted nothing to do with her.

Greenlee provided the funding to get the website up and running but Ryan did not find this out until several months later. Scott and Becca found a belonging of Stuart's at the cabin that burned down but Stuart was actually alive. Opal hired a psychic and brought him over to Marian's house to see if he could resurrect Stuart's "spirit." It turned out that the spirit he resurrected was that of Cindy Parker Chandler. Stuart and Cindy were married, for a short time, in the late 1980s and their marriage was dissolved when Cindy died of AIDS.
