Charles Vain is the only other famous pirate named on the show. Bartholomew Roberts and Henry Morgan were also pirates of note, but they didn't make an appearance on this program.

2. How many pounds of gold dust was on the French slave-ship La Concorde?

Answer: 20

Apparently, this was a sizable sum in the early 1700's. As told by the narrator, it was enough to set a man up for the rest of his life.

3. What was the real wealth in the colonies?

Answer: slaves

All of these were items of varying importance to the colonies. Unfortunately, the sugar, dye and tobacco were worth less than the people who harvested and processed them.

4. Why did Blackbeard decide to attack the Great Allen?

Answer: It was from Boston

It was a ship from Boston that had come upon Captain Bellamy's shipwrecked crew and instead of helping them, hung six of them. Blackbeard admired Capt. Bellamy and decided it was time for revenge.
