The Inbetweeners is a British teen sitcom about coming-of-age that debuted in 2008. In the fifth episode, titled "Gourmet Night" Basil plans an evening in an attempt to move up Torquay's social scale and draw in upper-class customers. He needs to go and get a duck, but his car won't start. Basil gets out of the car and can be heard to say, "I'm going to give you a damn good thrashing." With this, he then gets a tree branch and attacks the car.
