Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Bonnie Franklin, Valerie Bertinelli (1975)

"One Day at a Time" (1975-84) starred Bonnie Franklin as Ann Romano, a divorced mother of two teenage girls played by Valerie Bertinelli and Mackenzie Phillips. They lived in Indianapolis, in an apartment building whose superintendent, Dwayne, was played by Pat Harrington Jr. who provided much of the comedy.
2. John Cryer, Angus T. Jones (2003)

Cryer and Jones provided one and a half of the "Two and a Half Men" in this sitcom's title, as the brother and nephew of Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen), who reluctantly let them move into his beach house with him (Jones on a part time basis). Charlie was a womanizing playboy, while brother Alan (Cryer) was more sedate, causing friction between them.

The series ran from 2003 until 2015, with Sheen replaced by Ashton Kutcher in 2011, though Kutcher played a different character.
3. John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt (1976)

In "Three's Company", which ran until 1984, Ritter portrayed Jack Tripper, a young man sharing an apartment with two young women, played by DeWitt and Suzanne Somers. In order to comply with house rules, Tripper pretended to be gay, leading to a number of humorous situations. Extra laughs were provided by the Ropers, who were the landlords (Norman Fell and Audra Lindley) and Ralph Furley (Don Knotts).
4. Richard Conte, Jack Hawkins (1959)

"The Four Just Men" (1959-60) were a group of men from different backgrounds who worked together to right wrongs and make the world a better place. They were two Americans (Conte and Dan Dailey), one in the States and one in Paris, an Englishman (Hawkins) and an Italian (Vittorio De Sica).

The Americans were a lawyer and a journalist, Hawkins played a politician and the Italian was in the hotel business. They used their contacts and varied skills to accomplish their aims.
5. Matthew Fox, Scott Wolf (1994)

"Party of Five" (1994-2000) was about the five children of the Salinger family, made orphans by an accident, who tried their best to stay together. Oldest brother Charlie (Fox) took most of the responsibility, alongside sister Julia (Neve Campbell). Second brother Bailey (Wolf) struggled with addiction and younger daughter Claudia (Lacey Chabert) was a talented musician. Youngest child Owen was just a baby at the start of the series, and was portrayed by several different actors.
6. Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall (2001)

Krause and Hall played brothers Nate and David Fisher in "Six Feet Under" (2001-05), which revolved around their family-owned and run funeral home, as well as the lives of all the members of the Fisher family. Their father, played by Richard Jenkins, died suddenly, leaving the business to them jointly, although David was more interested in the business than was Nate.

The family also included their mother (Frances Conroy) and sister Claire (Lauren Ambrose), who had their own problems to solve.
7. Katey Sagal, Kaley Cuoco (2002)

The other star of "8 Simple Rules...for Dating My Teenage Daughter" (2002-2005) was John Ritter, who played Paul, the rule-making father of Bridget (Cuoco), Kerry (Amy Davidson) and son Rory (Martin Spanjers). Katey Sagal played their mother, Paul's wife, Cate Hennessy.

When Ritter died suddenly, his death was incorporated into the plot, with Paul suffering a similar fate. James Garner later joined the cast.
8. Jack Ging, Wendell Corey (1962)

"The Eleventh Hour" (1962-64) combined psychiatry and courtroom drama in many of its episodes. Ging, Corey, and Ralph Bellamy all played psychiatrists who would be asked to evaluate a variety of people, some accused of crimes and others in danger of breakdowns. The title was an allusion to just how close to personal disaster many of their patients were when seeking help.
9. Robert Lansing, Frank Overton (1964)

Inspired by the 1949 movie of a similar title, "12 O'Clock High" (1964-67) was about the day-to-day goings-on of a USAAF bombardment group stationed in England during the Second World War. Lansing played Brig. Gen. Frank Savage, who had commanded the group at one time, while Overton portrayed Major Harvey Stovall and Paul Burke was Colonel Joe Gallagher.
10. Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George (2018)

"Station 19" (2018-2024) spun off from "Grey's Anatomy", when Dr Ben Warren (Jason George) decided to change careers and become a firefighter. Jaina Lee Ortiz played Andy Herrera, born to do great things as a firefighter, but who had to overcome numerous obstacles before reaching her full potential. Throughout the run of the series, people and plot lines sometimes traveled from this series to its parent and back again, as the firefighters rescued people who needed treatment at Grey-Sloan Hospital, and because Warren was married to Dr Miranda Bailey.
