The town's slogan was "a nice place to hate". The Monarch did not like moving into his wife's ex-boyfriend, Phantom Limb's house. He ordered his henchmen to burn everything in the house before he and Dr. Girlfriend, now Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, move in. He also did not like living in Malice. The Monarch called it "a gated community for super villains".

Sergeant Hatred did not want to kill Dr. Venture at all. He was nice to him and was being very reasonable as to when to arch him. He even had a party and invited Dr. Venture to come. Later in the episode it was revealed that Hatred was being nice to Venture because he wanted to make The Monarch angry.

The Monarch hated the fact that he was no longer Dr. Venture's arch enemy and Hatred knew that The Monarch would be upset if he treated Dr. Venture like a friend rather than an enemy. Hatred considered this revenge for when The Monarch and his henchmen stole from him, The Monarch thought Hatred did not know about that.

Both Tim-Tom and Kevin were being teased by The Monarch's henchmen. They even got into a fight with Henchman 24, they stabbed henchman 24 and he needed medical attention. Since they worked under Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, she decided to let them live with her and The Monarch. All of The Monarch's henchmen still had to live in The Cocoon however.

Hatred did not mention this to Dr. Venture when they first met and told him that his sons had to leave the party. Dr. Venture was going to leave as well calling his children "the buzzkill boys" but The Monarch offered his henchmen to babysit them while Dr. Venture could enjoy the party.

The Monarch was not playing the game rather he was insulting Dr. Venture but Venture thought The Monarch was playing the game. The Monarch told him "you're a brainless failure and you live entirely off your father's name and fortune". George Bush was his first guess followed by Hitler and then Socrates' son. Dr. Venture's celebrity card turned out to be Mariah Carey, Venture said he would have eventually guessed that.

Hatred did not have a laser cannon and the other weapons listed, The Monarch already had but he was impressed by the microexplosive so he took it. While everyone was playing charades at the party, The Monarch took the tiny explosive and put it on Dr. Venture's back.

Brock was bored from the party games and decided to watch television away from the party guests. Dr. Venture was wondering why Brock was not protecting him. Brock told him there was nothing to worry about as there are rules Dr. Venture's enemies must abide by and that they were not allowed to attack him at their own party.

The Monarch was anything but calm during that scene. When he saw Dr. Mrs. The Monarch smoking with Hatred, he was very angry. She said she had been smoking since 1989. The Monarch never figured out she smoked until this episode even though he noticed filled ashtrays in his home and as Hatred would put it, she had "a three pack a day voice".

Although the microexplosive blew up, Dr. Venture was in the hot tub and the bomb did not do any damage under water. Venture did not even know there was a bomb on him he thought he just passed gas.

Hank, Dean, Henchman 21, and Henchman 24 were all being chased by the Murder Moppets outside of the party. Hank and Henchman 21 were spying on the Moppets but the Moppets found out and started to chase them. Dr. Venture's robot H.E.L.P.E.R. was not seen or heard at all in this episode.
