They were most often seen traveling with their jet, the X-1, on the show. They had trouble landing it though in this episode. The Venture family were running late and Dr. Venture was still trying to put his pants on. He accidentally hits the throttle causing the jet to land abruptly while he was trying to put his pants on. They disturbed another funeral when they landed.

Even though they did not see each other much in college, Dr. Venture's bodyguard was also his college roommate. Dr. Venture hung out with Pete White, Mike Sorayama, and Baron Verner Underbheit more often. White was roommates with Underbheit and he was once a disc jockey for the college radio station.

This college flashback was brought up by Mike after he captured Dr. Venture, White, Underbheit, and Brock. He was angry at all of them for how they treated him at college. The funeral turned out to be a trap to capture them.

With Hank and Dean alone, they needed help to save Brock and their father. They decided to summon the original Team Venture. This group of four who use to work with Jonas Venture, Hank and Dean's grandfather, agreed to help save Brock and Dr. Venture.

They consisted of Kano who had hands "strong enough to crush a boulder, but delicate enough to crush a butterfly." Otto Acquarius, an Atlantian who is trying to spread the word of Jesus to others. There is The Action Man who is constantly seen passing gas and the leader Colonel Horace Gentleman who looked and sounded similar to Scottish actor Sean Connery.

Even though he never had an actual conversation with her, Mike was madly in love with her. He was mad at White, Dr. Venture, Brock, and Underbheit because they all made fun of him for being in love with a girl he hasn't talked to, Brock did not make fun of him but he did have relations with Leslie which made Mike very angry at him, more angry then the others. Mike even made robots that looked like Leslie Cohen, he called them the Lesliebots.

They were used to guard the dungeon the four were captured in.

Mike thought he was smoking marijuana but Underbheit, White, and Dr. Venture tricked him into smoking oregano. They did not know he was allergic to it though.

Colonel Gentleman told Hank and Dean that Kano was a "crackerjack pilot". Kano was the only member of Team Venture that did not speak.

With Mike Sorayama being obsessed with Leslie Cohen, he named one of his monsters in the game Leslie Golem. Mike was angry at Dr. Venture when in the game, Dr. Venture's wizard seduced the Leslie Golem. Dr. Venture thought it was ridiculous that Mike brought that moment up again.

The only reason Brock made it to college was because he received a full scholarship for playing football. Once he got kicked off the team, he also got kicked out of school as well. Brock joined the army soon after this event.

Yes even though Mike setted up a fake funeral to capture his former friends, he died before Dr. Venture, Underbheit, Brock, and White showed up. They thought that Mike was still alive while they were captured. They were talking to something that looked liked Mike while they were captured, it turned out to be a robot he built.

Although Pete White and Master Billy Quizboy were often seen together on the show, there was no appearance or mention of him in this episode. The Monarch was shown briefly on the phone with Hank and Dean telling them that he had nothing to do with the kidnapping of Brock and Dr. Venture which was true in this episode.

He was also mentioned in one of Dr. Venture's flashbacks in college. Underbheit was seen throughout most of the episode and Dr. Orpheus made a small appearance when the original Team Venture attacked him at the Venture Compound thinking he was an intruder, Dr. Orpheus was just trying to find his cat. Dean had to explain to them that Dr. Orpheus was their neighbor after the four of them attacked him.
