Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Ruthie

Answer: Camden

Ruthie Camden was played by Mackenzie Roman in all 11 seasons of "7th Heaven" which ran from 1996-2007. Ruthie was the youngest daughter of Reverend Eric Camden (Stephen Collins) and Annie Camden (played by Catherine Hicks). She is very sneaky and manipulative but has a heart of gold. Ruthie later (in season five) goes to a private school after a teacher calls her stupid at the public school where she and her siblings attend.
2. Vanessa

Answer: Huxtable

Vanessa Huxtable was played by Tempestt Bledsoe on "The Cosby Show" for all 8 seasons of the show which ran from 1984-1992. Vanessa was eleven years old when the series began and liked a boy named Robert (played by Dondre T. Whitfield). Vanessa was smart and boy-crazy.
3. Denise

Answer: Huxtable

Denise Huxtable was played by Lisa Bonet on "The Cosby Show." Denise was sixteen when the show first started. Bonet was around the entire series, but not always as a main character due to "creative differences." That being she got pregnant, and Cosby thought it inappropriate for an unwed black daughter of Dr. Huxtable's to be represented.

Denise eventually marries Lt. Martin Kendall (played by Joseph C. Phillips) a member of the United States Navy. She met him while she was in Africa for a summer. They were married before she returned home. Also, she became stepmother to his precocious three-year-old daughter Olivia (played by Raven Symone).

Bonet legally changed her name to Lilakoi Moon in 1993, although professionally she still uses Lisa Bonet. This was apparently done so she could have more privacy.
4. Lucy

Answer: Camden

Beverly Mitchell played Lucy Camden on all 11 seasons of "7th Heaven." Lucy is the middle daughter of Eric and Annie Camden. Lucy is very emotional and boy-crazy. In the pilot episode, she is twelve, and concerned she has not gotten her period yet. In season five, she announces to her father that she is planning to follow in his footsteps.

She wants to become a minister. She later meets and marries Kevin (played by George Stults). They have a baby girl named Savannah.
5. Simon

Answer: Camden

Simon Camden was played by David Gallagher. He was a full-time cast member in seasons 1-7 and 10. For seasons 8 and 9, he was part-time while he was in college full-time. Season ten was expected to be the last, but then the network picked it up for one more season; however, Gallagher chose not to return for the final season.

Simon Camden was known as "the bank of Simon" for his ability to save money. In the later seasons, after accidentally hitting and killing a boy on a bicycle while driving, he goes away to college a year early because the brother of that kid wants revenge.
6. Matt

Answer: Camden

Matt Camden was played by Barry Watson. He was part of the main cast for seasons 1-6 and season 9, and a recurring guest cast star for seasons 7-8 and 10. Watson did not return for the final season.

Matt Camden was the oldest of the Camden kids. He views himself as a role model and protector of his younger siblings.
7. Theo

Answer: Huxtable

Theodore "Theo" Huxtable is the only son of Dr. Cliff and Clair Huxtable. He is also the middle child. Theo struggles in school throughout the series, until the later years, when he learns he has dyslexia. He then gets the help he needs, does better in school, and goes on to help other children.
8. Sondra

Answer: Huxtable

Sondra Huxtable was played by Sabrina Le Beauf and is the oldest of the Huxtable children. She was there for all eight seasons, but not for all of the first season. She was brought in with the tenth episode, "Bonjour, Sondra." Bill Cosby wanted to show what could happen when an African American family successfully raised a child (i.e. Sondra was in college at that point). She dated and eventually married Elvin (played by Geoffrey Owens). They had twins Winnie and Nelson.

Le Beauf almost did not get the role because she is only a decade younger than Phylicia Rashad. She has also been criticized in the role for not being "black enough" because her skin complexion was lighter than the others on the show.
9. Sam

Answer: Camden

Samuel "Sam" Camden was played by Lorenzo Brino from seasons three through eleven of "7th Heaven".

Sam was one of the youngest Camden sons. He was born on Valentine's Day. This was annoying to his siblings when he turned one because they wanted to be with their dates and not at a birthday party for a one-year-old.

Sadly, Lorenzo Brino was killed in a car accident on March 9, 2020. He was driving too fast and hit a utility pole. He was not on drugs or drinking, it was an accident that happens to many young drivers especially - the need for speed.
10. Rudy

Answer: Huxtable

Rudith "Rudy" Huxtable was played by Keshia Knight Pulliam on "The Cosby Show." She was five when the show began and a teenager when the show ended.

Rudy was originally going to be a son, but Pulliam's audition won Cosby over with her audition. Jaleel White, who later played Steve Urkel on "Family Ties," was one of the people competing against her for the role.
11. Mary

Answer: Camden

Mary Camden was played by Jessica Biel on "7th Heaven" from seasons 1-6 as part of the main cast. In season 7, she was a recurring guest star. In seasons 8 and 10, she was a special guest star. She did not appear in the 9th and 11th seasons of the show.

Mary is the oldest Camden daughter. She was a star basketball player in high school until she and the other girls on the team got angry with the coach and vandalized the gym. They were getting bad grades, so he locked the gym telling them no more basketball until they improved those grades. As a result, Mary had to do probation, but things went downhill for her. She graduated from high school but did not go to college like her parents had hoped. She got involved with the wrong people, and eventually her parents sent her to live with Reverend Cameden's parents in Buffalo, NY.
12. David

Answer: Camden

David "Dave" Camden was played by Nikolas Brino starting in season 3 through the rest of the series. He is one of their youngest sons, and Sam's twin.

Sam and Dave were in part named for the R&B duo Sam and Dave. When they get old enough to talk, they often will complete each other's sentences as they explain to someone what has happened.

Originally, the twins were played by the Brino quadruplets: Nikolas, Lorenzo, their brother Zachary, and sister Myrinda. However, as they got older and started looking too different, Nikolas and Lorenzo took the roles themselves.
