Mel Brooks is one of the few performers to win the EGOT collection of awards - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. He started in the 1950s as a writer for Sid Caesar's "Your Show of Shows". He went on to produce "Get Smart", a successful sendup of the James Bond style of secret agent films which were popular. His 1968 film, "The Producers" won the Oscar for best original screenplay. He then wrote and directed "Blazing Saddles", and "Young Frankenstein" in 1974, and has continued to produce films through the following decades. Tina Fey began her career as a member of Chicago's "The Second City" troupe before becoming a writer for Saturday Night Live in 1997 and head writer in 1999. She moved in front of the camera starting in 2000. Fey left SNL and created the comedy "30 Rock" in 2006. She has also been in the films "Mean Girls", "Muppets Most Wanted" and "Date Night" among others.
Acting professionally since the early 1980s, Nathan Lane has won three Tony Awards, for "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", "The Producers", and "Angels in America". It says something about the guest stars on "Only Murders in the Building" that Amy Schumer, who has a Tony award and a Primetime Emmy award and several other nominations to her credit, is the second least-awarded person on this list. Schumer took fourth place in the 2007 season of "Last Comic Standing"
