The two would perform the song together in a recreation of the original "Physical" video. Newton-John wouldn't reappear until the season finale, "Sectionals". "Physical" was the second song in the show to be performed by Sue (the first being "Vogue" in "The Power of Madonna"). Appearing in "Glee: The Music, Vol. 3 - Showstoppers", the song cracked #89 on the 'Billboard' charts. The original by Olivia Newton-John hit #1 on the same chart back in 1981. From Quiz The Music of "Glee" 3

Answer: It's My Life

With the kids falling out of the motions and getting a little bit too laid back about Glee Club, Will incites a competition in order to stir things up. Boys vs. Girls is the matter at hand, and both sides need to create a suitable mash-up to take to sectionals. The boys take a mash-up of "It's My Life" (by Bon Jovi) and "Confessions, Pt. II" (by Usher). The catch? Terri, who took a position as school nurse, gave them an ingredient used in decongestants to keep them mentally alert. The entire performance is done hyped-up on meds. The "It's My Life"/"Confessions Pt. II" mash-up was released as a single and appeared at #30 on the US Billboard charts, but never made an appearance on the "Glee: The Music, Vol. 1" collection.

18. In "Acafellas", what song do Will and his group sing at his house, keeping Terri awake in the process?

From Quiz The Music of "Glee" 2

Answer: "This is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan

Montell Jordan's "This is How We Do It" was released in 1995 and was a notorious debut single for the artist as it reached #1 on three different Billboard (charting on four) making Jordan the first male artist to do so with their first song. The song is from the album of the same name. "Poison" by Bell Biv DeVoe is the first song the Acafellas played in a gig. Neither was released as a single on "Glee: Volume 1". "This is How We Do It" appears in the episode when the guys realize that they may have something going with the hip-hop acapella thing. Will, Ken, Henri, and Howard all meet up at Will's place (without Sandy as he's too creepy to be part of the group) to sing together. Terri makes them stop saying that if she doesn't sleep she could miscarry.

From Quiz Songs Covered by 'Glee' (Season Two)

Answer: 'Every Rose Has its Thorn'

Sam Evans is a new student who becomes the target of Finn's recruitment of new members for the Glee club. Desperate for new members, Finn tries to encourage his fellow football players to join, and ends up hearing Sam singing 'Every Rose Has its Thorn' in the shower. With a little bending of the truth (Glee club WILL make you cool, if you ask Finn), he convinces Sam to audition for the New Directions.

23. During the "Prom Queen" episode, Artie sings "Isn't She Lovely" to Brittany. Where are they during the song?

From Quiz The Music of "Glee" 14

Answer: In class

Artie sings this song to Brittany in order to convince her to go to prom with him, but after the events in the previous episode, "Rumours", the two of them are facing some harder times. She acknowledges the effort he makes in coming into her home-ec class to sing the song, but she doesn't guarantee that they'll be going together. "Isn't She Lovely" was originally by Stevie Wonder and it never actually charted in the U.S. It was originally released in 1976 and was written about his daughter. The "Glee" version appeared on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6" and reached number sixty-five on the Hot 100.

24. In "Night of Neglect", Holly Holliday performs which song by Adele for the benefit concert?

From Quiz The Music of "Glee" 13

Answer: Turning Tables

The first song on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6", "Turning Tables" was the only single from the episode to make an appearance on the compilation disc. The original "Turning Tables" was released in 2011 by UK artist Adele on her album "21". While not an official single, it reached number sixty-three on the Hot 100; the "Glee" version met with number sixty-six in the same year. Holly is the penultimate performer to take the stage during the night of regret concert and her number expresses her feelings about her and Will's relationship. Shortly after the concert, the two of them go their separate ways. This is the final number to feature Holly Holliday this season, but not the last to include an Adele song.

25. Dressed up as zombies, the male Glee Club members and the football team perform which classic song by The Zombies in "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle"?

From Quiz The Music of "Glee" 11

Answer: She's Not There

Finally able to work together, the Glee guys and the football team combined their efforts to sing and dance to The Zombies' "She's Not There" on stage for the other members of the club. Finn leads the vocals while they shuffle around in full zombie make-up. Of course, this excitement and camaraderie is short-lived after the hockey team slushies the football guys. The original version of the song by The Zombies was a classic from 1964. Their first single, it reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100; the "Glee" version peaked at number eighty-seven and appeared on "Glee: The Music, Volume 5".

26. In the episode "Britney/Brittany", Rachel sings a song at the end to her boyfriend, Finn Hudson. What song is this?

From Quiz "Glee" Characters

Answer: The Only Exception

After Rachel goes to the dentist and has a very vivid Britney Spears fantasy, she starts dressing like Britney. Finn comes over and has a worried look on his face. She tells Finn that they can't control each other. Finn has her blessing to rejoin the football team, and he shouldn't tell her how to dress. After Rachel tells Finn that he has to choose between her and football, she sends Quinn to ask Finn out on a dinner date. Rachel did this because she was worried that Finn would cheat on her. Finn says that he still has feelings for Quinn, but that he is dating someone else. Quinn tells Rachel what happens leading Rachel to sing "The Only Exception" by Paramore.

27. At the end of "The Substitute", Will and Holly Holliday decide to mash-up "Singin' in the Rain" with what 2007 Rihanna song?

From Quiz The Music of "Glee" 10

Answer: Umbrella

In the end of the episode, Will's enjoyment of "Singin' in the Rain" is brought to the choir room but the kids aren't thrilled with the classics, so he approaches Holly for a modern idea. They both mash-up "Singin' in the Rain" (with Will on vocals) with Rihanna's "Umbrella" (with Holly on vocals) and perform with the kids in a rainy auditorium with umbrellas. This mash-up was the best-received mash-up on the show thus far. Peaking at number eighteen on the Hot 100, it was the second best-selling song of the episode and, other than "Forget You", the only one to chart. It originally appeared on Rihanna's "Good Girl Gone Bad" album and her version hit number one on two different Billboard charts (appearing on four), winning one Grammy (though it was nominated for three). The "Glee" version was not part of "Glee: The Music, Volume 4".

28. "Sing!" (from "Duets") was the first song on "Glee" to feature the vocals of which member of New Directions?

From Quiz The Music of "Glee" 9

Answer: Mike

Originally from "A Chorus Line", "Sing!" was originally the fifth number found in the stageplay which debuted in 1975. One of the longest-running Broadway shows ever created, it won nine Tony Awards. In "Duets", Mike and Tina perform their duet to this song in order to try and win the Breadstix dinner for themselves. To make a true duet, the song required that both Tina and Mike sing, so he took the reins and sang while dancing for this one. "Sing!" reached number eighty-seven on the Billboard Hot 100 though it did not appear on "Glee: The Music, Volume 4". This was the first vocal performance by Mike on the entire show.

29. In "Audition", Rachel sang "Telephone" in the girls' bathroom with which other student?

From Quiz The Music of "Glee" 8

Answer: Sunshine

While putting up posters to get people to join New Directions, Rachel came across Sunshine, a foreign exchange student, in the girls' bathroom. Soon, the two ended up singing a duet of Lady Gaga's "Telephone" before Sue came in and told them to be quiet. The performance made Rachel worried.
