Roslin believes the Arrow of Apollo will allow her to open the tomb and that this will guide them to Earth. Risking civil war within the human survivors, a third of the fleet leaves the protection of the Galactica and joins Roslin at Kobol.

Adama disagrees with Roslin's actions but he realises that the fleet must be put back together and travels to Kobol in a gesture of reconciliation. Together, he and Roslin, with the aid of the Boomer model from Caprica, find the Tomb and their first clues as to the location of Earth.

This No.3 model was posing as a journalist. As part of a PR exercise, she was given unprecedented access to the Galactica and her crew. In the process she discovered that Boomer was still alive and pregnant with the human-Cylon hybrid child, a fact she was able to relay to the Cylons on Caprica.

Answer: Pegasus

The Pegasus is commanded by Rear Admiral Helena Cain, an accomplished but ruthless officer. The Pegasus had survived the initial Cylon attack as it was about to be refitted at the time.

Cain takes control of the fleet as the ranking officer and soon clashes with Commander Adama. Stories begin to emerge of how the Pegasus had encountered a small civilian fleet but unlike Adama, Cain had not opted to protect these ships but instead stripped them of parts and valuable crew and left them defenseless.

The tension quickly grows and soon Adama and Cain are plotting to kill each other (Adama with the unofficial blessing of President Roslin, who recognises how dangerous Cain is). Both assassinations are called off at the last minute but Adama and Roslin's problem is taken care of when Baltar releases Gina, a Cylon Number Six, from captivity aboard the Pegasus - as revenge for her torture and rape under Cain's command, Gina murders Cain in her quarters.

Zarek, desperate to see Roslin removed from office but realising he could never beat her on his own, turns to Baltar and convinces him to run. Although Baltar is Roslin's vice-president, he has become increasingly estranged from her since he read an admonitory letter from her, intended for him when it appeared she was about to die from cancer.

Colonel Tigh and his wife Ellen had only just moved to New Caprica when the Cylons arrive - alerted to the presence of the humans by a nuclear explosion triggered by the Cylon Gina.

The Cylons, under the influence of Caprica Six and the resurrected copy of Galactica Boomer, claim to want peaceful co-existence with the humans. However, to achieve this, they demand surrender or destruction. President Baltar sees no option but to surrender.

Dualla, now promoted to lieutenant and married to Lee Adama, is executive officer aboard the Pegasus. When the Cylons arrive, Admiral Adama wishes to stay and fight but Lee, commander of the Pegasus, convinces him of the futility of this and the remaining fleet jumps away to safety, with a promise to return.
