Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Right after the tutorial, the player can immediately begin the game's first questline with the first NPC they'll meet. Who is it?

Answer: White Mask Varre

Varre's questline has a bit of an unconventional beginning, as he simply wants the player to progress through the game naturally up until they defeat Godrick the Grafted. Once this is achieved, visiting him at the Rose Church opens up a more traditional questline, as he will now have a few minor tasks for the player before he will give them the ability to travel to the Mohgwyn Dynasty Palace.
2. Latenna the Albinauric's questline is known for giving great rewards for very little in return from the player. The player only needs to escort Latenna to a part of the map in the far north. Where must the player take her?

Answer: Consecrated Snowfield

This could be a bit confusing, because Latenna tells the player to take her to Miquella's Haligtree, but the actual destination is the Apostate Derelict in the Consecrated Snowfield, just a bit south of Miquella's Haligtree. Here, the player only needs to summon her so she can interact with Phillia, a giant Albinauric woman, and give her a 'birthing droplet'. It is implied that this droplet will impregnate Phillia, with the intention of basically repopulating a race of people on the brink of extinction.

As for rewards, Latenna will immediately reward the player with herself in Spirit form as a summon if the player agrees to take her on the journey. Once the traveling is done, Latenna will give the player a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone. Given how easy the questline is, these are some incredible rewards.
3. Sorceress Sellen's questline is arguably the most emotionally powerful questline in the game. Which of the following is one of the things the player must do to finish it?

Answer: Carry Sellen's soul to a different body

During the questline, the player will eventually discover that the form of Sellen's they initially interact with isn't actually really her. The real Sellen has been abducted and locked away inside of the Witchbane Ruins in Liurnia. Traveling here, the player can free her, but only after she's been beaten nearly to death and permanently crippled. Once this happens, the Primal Glintstone Blade Sellen gave the player earlier can be used to essentially extract her soul from this beaten down body and later transferred to a new one. This involves the player basically stabbing her in the chest with this blade to take her soul, then doing it again to place the soul inside of her new body, when found. The process appears to be very painful, as Sellen will wail in pain while the player is taking her soul, and will essentially beg for the pain to stop when the player finds her new body and begins transferring the soul into it.

Sellen's 'permanent' body that the player is meant to deposit her soul in can be found inside Preceptor Seluvis' laboratory, hidden behind an illusory wall.
4. Preceptor Seluvis has a short, very rewarding questline, but one with the same ending no matter how the player handles it. No matter what, which fate will always befall Seluvis regardless of player input?

Answer: He will die

In order to complete Seluvis' questline, the player must eventually acquire the Amber Starlight Shard and deliver it to him. He will use it to create what he calls "Amber Draught" and instruct the player to get Ranni the Witch to drink it, hoping to turn her into a puppet.

The player must sneak into Ranni's quarters and attempt to do this as she sleeps. No matter what they do, Ranni will awaken before the player will be successful, and she will kill Seluvis out of anger over his actions. Alternatively, Ranni will kill Seluvis if the player is doing her questline and gives her the Fingerslayer Blade.
5. Ranni the Witch has by far the longest questline in the game, beginning as the player starts the game and not ending until very late, almost end game. This is likely because her questline's completion will open one of the game's six different endings. What ending can the player get by doing her questline?

Answer: Age of Stars

Ranni's ultimate goal is to overthrow the Greater Will, destroy the Elden Ring, the Fractured Marika and crush the Golden Order once and for all. She aims to have the demigods as a whole erased, as to allow the general populace of the Lands Between to live by their own ambitions, not be oppressed by a small family of Demigods who preside over various territories in the world. Of course, it isn't objectively correct from a moral standpoint whether or not this is even ongoing, and whether Ranni's intentions are right or wrong- it's up to the player to make that call!
6. When arriving at the Mountaintop of the Giants, the player will meet a man named Shabriri. Shabriri informs the player that they'll have to 'kill the girl' on the path they're going down, and doing this would weaken their status as Elden Lord should they eventually attain it. To solve this issue, Shabriri encourages the player to embark upon a path that, if traveled, will result in the player attaining a completely different ending. What ending does Shabriri's brief questline result in?

Answer: Lord of Frenzied Flame

Funny enough, the 'girl' Shabriri pretends to try and be concerned about, Melina, will basically beg and plead that the player not take his advice and allow her to sacrifice herself to burn the Erdtree anyway. If the player follows Shabriri's directions, Melina will eventually abandon the player and threaten to return to them one day and kill them if they get this ending.
7. Nepheli Loux's questline starts off fast, with the player joining her to drive off the Omenkiller who had been oppressing the Albinauric Village beforehand. However, it immediately takes a turn for the worse, as Nepheli will be found later, dejected, and her foster father, Gideon Ofnir, will tell the player why. What happened?

Answer: Nepheli has been disowned

Gideon tells the player that he was fed up with Nepheli starting fights without his permission to do so, and has essentially disowned her, as it seems this has happened quite a lot. If the player is trying to advance Seluvis' questline, they will now be able to give Nepheli the Seluvis potion if they desire.
8. Gideon Ofnir's questline is short and simple- he wants data and information on four unlocated demigods, to supplement his moniker "The All-Knowing." Which of the following is one of the demigods he wants more information about?

Answer: Mohg, Lord of Blood

Gideon seems to not even know Mohg's name, referring to him as "the one who calls himself the Lord of Blood." Gideon seems to think very lowly of Mohg, later labeling him a "deluded maniac, rambling away about his precious dynasty" and will even tell the player not to bother confronting Mohg, believing it to be best that Mohg and his dynasty stay locked away in his palace, where nobody else will witness them. If the player provides information on Mohg, Gideon will reward them with the Black Flame's Protection incantation.

However, when fighting Gideon as a boss later, if the player gave him information on Mohg prior to the fight, Gideon will gain access to the Bloodboon incantation.
9. When the Radahn Festival ends, the player will find Castellan Jerren, seemingly cleaning Redmane Castle before departing it. He tells the player he has other business to tend to, and this 'other business' can be found during his extremely short questline. Here, he will request the player's aid in killing another NPC. Who is Jerren trying to kill?

Answer: Sorceress Sellen

He continuously refers to Sellen as a 'witch' and it's implied that he is the one who abducted and brutally beat her before locking her away at the Witchbane Ruins. At the end of Sellen's questline, both NPCs will appeal to the player to help them kill the other. If the player aids Sellen, she will reward them with the Glinstone Kris, Lusat's staff and continued access to her shop, which will now have the Star Shower sorcery added to it. If the player aids Jerren, he will reward them with an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, his cosmetic set and his weapon, the Flamberg.

It is worth noting that the player can get the Flamberg in other ways than just this, and there are numerous opportunities to earn the still highly coveted Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, but Sellen's rewards are exclusive to this occasion.

As such, the player would probably be best off helping Sellen unless they don't care about her sorcery related rewards.
10. The earliest encounter with Alexander the Warrior Jar is found with him in a bit of a precarious state. He will ask the player to help him, and if they agree, he tells them what they can do to help. What does Alexander ask the player to do?

Answer: Attack him

Specifically, Alexander has got his large, round body stuck inside of a large hole in the ground. To get him out, the player will need to attack him from behind with charged attacks. Light attacks won't do, and using enough of those will actually kill Alexander eventually.

Not to worry, as he will make this very clear if the player tries using light attacks, as he will flat out beg them to stop and warn them that they'll shatter him if they proceed with light attacks.
