Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first Persona the player can use all game is Makoto's starting Persona, Orpheus. Of course, as the first Persona the player gets for free, Orpheus is not the absolute best, with two nasty weaknesses to what?

Answer: Electric and Dark

The Dark weakness is much more of a concern- if Makoto dies at any point, unlike the rest of the team, the player will receive an immediate Game Over. Dark skills are exclusively insta-kill, so if Makoto is targeted by one, he will likely die. Correcting this or, better yet, getting a different Persona ASAP would be a good idea.
2. After awakening to a Persona, Makoto's talents are quickly recognized and he's given a position of authority with SEES. What position is this?

Answer: Combat leader

This was just the narrative way to allow the player to be justified in having control over their general daily affairs. It's a pretty major plot hole really- if Mitsuru has had a Persona for over a decade and has lots of leadership experience, why doesn't she take the role on? I suppose plot armor is undefeated.
3. On the social side, as it would turn out, Makoto isn't too keen on the idea of a monogamous romantic relationship. Which of the following is true?

Answer: The player cannot refuse any of his romance options

Most of the female social links in this game are romanceable. Moreover, they are "mandatory" romances- the player doesn't have the option to turn any of them down, and they all happen automatically at certain points in their socials.

The actual, tangible consequence of this is that the player will need to be careful handling these social links. If the player has romanced two or more socials at a time, there is a risk in hanging out with any of them at any given time. The "Jealousy" mechanic can come into play, and if one romanced social notices Makoto hanging out with another, the one who catches him will enter a Reverse social with him, that could very easily get outright broken.

Inexplicably, but mercifully, a romanced social cannot be reversed or broken once it has been maxed. So the thankfully simple solution to this dilemma is to take a romancable social straight to max before working on the next one.
4. As it turns out, Makoto has a part time job that he is never seen acquiring on camera. Where does he work?

Answer: Cafe Chagull

Makoto's job isn't clear, but he seems to fulfill the general duties of a barista as well as a server. Choosing to work a shift here will enhance Makoto's Charm stat as well as give the player a small amount of yen.
5. One of the more captivating, humorous "socials" Makoto can enter is with Elizabeth. She will request Makoto take her to various places in the world to tour. Where is one of the places they'll go?

Answer: A playground

One of the places Elizabeth will request to go is the Naganaki Shrine, and she will take a particular interest in the Shrine's playground. Other than this, she will also ask to see Tatsumi Port Island, Paulownia Mall, Gekkoukan High School and, finally (and maybe most iconically) Makoto's bedroom.
6. Makoto's weapon of choice is simple. What does he wield?

Answer: One-handed sword

It is the female protagonist Kotone Shiomi who uses the Naginata, Junpei Iori with the two-handed sword, and Mitsuru Kirijo with the rapier/thrusting sword. However, much like all of them, Makoto's one-handed sword dishes out Slashing damage all the same.
7. Across the franchise, every protagonist has their own 'Ultimate' Persona, and Makoto is no exception. That said, the prerequisite to being able to create Orpheus Telos is unique for this game. What does the player need to do before they can create Orpheus Telos?

Answer: Have every social maxed at once

Traditionally, going to NG+ has been how the player is supposed to unlock the protagonist's ultimate Persona. It is exceedingly difficult to max every social in a 'first' playthrough anyhow, so this will still typically be the case anyway, but it is technically possible to have Orpheus Telos without the need for New Game Plus.
8. During the last three days of the game, as the player gets the chance to speak to their maxed confidants for the last time, what will they all remark on as Makoto approaches them?

Answer: Concern for his health

This is essentially meant to foreshadow the game's ending. At this point, Makoto is physically a walking corpse, and his physical vigor and vitality are nonexistent.
9. The player can use Makoto, and him only, in a 1v1 against the 'secret' boss of the game. To access this, they can accept a request from Elizabeth to defeat "the ultimate adversary." Who is the ultimate adversary?

Answer: Elizabeth

Elizabeth is, predictably, an incredibly difficult fight with a few obscure 'rules' that the player must follow in order to have a chance to win. Statistically, she is vastly superior to the player even if they have maxed everything they can possibly max. She has 20,000 HP and can move twice for every one move the player gets.
10. The ending to "Persona 3" is quite unique across the franchise, in stark contrast to its two successors in particular. What happens to Makoto?

Answer: He dies

Makoto essentially had to sacrifice his soul to create the Great Seal, preventing humanity's yearn for death from ever reaching Nyx again. In the next two iterations of the franchise, the protagonist is only in the main setting temporarily to begin with, and returns "home" at the end of the game. This can be interpreted as Atlus leaving the ending ambiguous, likely as a means of allowing themselves to narratively create an enhanced edition of the game that fits. In this game, however, the protagonist dying would seem to crush that possibility in theory, granting very solid closure to the story.

Of course, "Persona 3" would go on to have its own enhanced edition while still balancing it alongside its initial ending.
