1. The Amorite Wall

Answer: Mesopotamia

The Amorites were a group of nomadic tribesmen who had been making incursions into Mesopotamia. This "Amorite Wall" was built by Sumerian rulers in the 21st century, BC and is believed to have stretched for over a hundred miles between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
2. The Great Wall of Gorgan

Answer: Persia (Iran)

Also known as the "Red Snake" for its distinctive red-colored bricks, the "Great Wall of Gorgan" was 121 miles long extending from the southern coast of the Caspian Sea to the Elburz Mountains in what is now Iran. It was built by the Persians sometime around the 5th century A.D.
3. Theodosian Walls

Answer: Constantinople (Istanbul, Turkey)

The Theodosian Walls blocked armies from advancing from the mainland. They included a moat, a 27-foot outer wall and a massive inner wall that was 40 feet tall and 15 feet thick.
4. Pine Grove Cemetary

Answer: United States (Massachusetts)

The cemetery houses between 88,000 and 90,000 interments. The cemetery has been recorded in "Ripley's Believe It or Not" as the "second longest contiguous stone wall in the world", second only to the Great Wall of China. The wall is built of fieldstone and was built by the WPA in the 1930s.
5. Saksaywaman or Sacsayhuaman Walls

Sacsayhuaman is the walled complex built by the Incas in the north of Cusco, a city in Peru. The complex is constructed from huge blocks of stone without any mortar to hold them together. Three large parallel walls made of limestone were built on different levels. It is said that the zigzagging walls represent puma's teeth.
6. The Walls of Ston

Answer: Croatia

The Walls of Ston are a series of walls built in the 15th century to safeguard the Croatian city of Ston from the Ottomans. The wall is a 5.5 km (3.5 miles) long defensive wall that connected the towns of Ston to Mali Ston and protected the precious salt pans that were crucial to Dubrovnik's wealth.
7. The Western Wall

The Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall is a Jewish religious site situated in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is revered as the only remnant of the Holy Temple in Judaism making it the most sacred place for Jewish people.
8. The Diyarbakir Walls

Answer: Turkey

The wall has an inner and outer layer. The outer layer is built using volcanic basalt rock taken from the Karacagad Volcano that is now extinct. The inner layer is made of bricks and there are many structures like storage rooms, watchtowers and gates built into the wall. This wall too was built by the Romans.
9. Fort Kumbhalgarh's Walls

Answer: India

Kumbhalgarh is a site that sits nestled in-between 13 towering mountain peaks in the western part of India. Kumbhalgarh Fort was built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. Great Wall of India, as the Kumbhalgarh is often referred to, took just a little less than a century to finish.
10. Kano City Wall

Answer: Nigeria

The Kano City wall was built to protect the ancient city of Kano. The wall was constructed between 1095 and 1134 AD and was once considered the most impressive structure in western Africa. The walls originally had an estimated height of 30 to 50 ft and about 40 ft thick at the base.
