He pushed Ayla after Ayla got physical with him. Kurt's parents were arrested on obstruction of justice because they lied about being with Kurt at the time of Ayla's death. The arrest took place on Thanksgiving with Danny and Jackie being the detectives assigned to the case.

Joseph 'Joe' Conor Reagan is listed by 'Wikia' (free web hosting service) as the third oldest child of Frank Reagan and, alternately on YouTube, as Frank's oldest son; the dispute does not change the fact that Joe was a NYPD Police Detective like his brothers, and he was murdered in the line of duty while investigating a group of corrupt NYC cops for the FBI. The date of his demise is listed as May 15, 2009, which was 15 months before "Blue Bloods" aired its first episode. All we have is a picture of Joe (from an uncredited actor) and the fact that he was closest to his brother Jamie. Joe "We Hardly Knew Ye" or, more accurately, we never met you at all!

Frank explains he lent Jamie the money and wouldn't be able to help him out again. It is important to Frank that Tony understands the situation. Tony is obviously relieved to have the money to pay his bookie.

The name of the episode refers to the atrium at John Jay College that is dedicated to Joseph Connor Reagan who was killed in the line of duty. Lenny Ross, John McKenna, and Jimmy Burke are all cops Frank has served with in the past.

Alex Bello is an Internal Affairs officer who was involved in the Blue Templar's illegal activities and Gerry O'Brien is a cop who gave weapons to the Blue Templar. He was very close to his brother, Joe, and was devastated by his murder; Jamie even went undercover to investigate his brother's death and its connection to the 'Blue Templar'. He seems to be the nicest of all the children, rarely discussing his political beliefs but always fighting for what's right.
