Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Reagan family serves the citizens of what major US city?

Answer: New York

The show takes place in New York City. Sunday dinner at the family home in Brooklyn is a tradition that often involves some lively (and not always amiable) conversation.
2. Tom Selleck portrays the character of Frank Reagan, a widower who followed his father's footsteps into what profession?

Answer: Police Commissioner

Frank is the second Reagan to serve New York City as police commissioner. All four of his children, including a son who was killed in the line of duty, have followed the family tradition and found employment in a branch of the legal system.
3. Frank and his father share a home as well as a profession. What is Frank's dad's first name?

Answer: Henry

Henry Reagan (played by Len Cariou) is a retired police commissioner who often disagrees with his son's hesitance to apply "old school" police procedures and policies. He loves his family and especially enjoys spending time with his great-grandchildren. He has a tendency to spoil them!
4. It is revealed in the first season that Joe, another Reagan sibling and New York police officer, had died in the line of duty and that his murder wasn't solved. When Jamie vows to get to the bottom of his brother's death, clues all point to a rather mysterious organization known by what name?

Answer: The Blue Templar

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to charity work and Blue Knights is a group of law enforcement officers who share a common interest in motorcycles. Knights Templar was a Christian order in the Middle Ages.
During the last episode of season one, it is revealed that a small group of corrupt officers within the Blue Templar had orchestrated Joe's murder when he discovered their illegal activities. The officer who actually killed Joe commits suicide after admitting his guilt to Frank.
5. Erin Reagan (formerly Erin Reagan-Boyle) is Frank's daughter and the only one of his children who is not a police officer. Which of these statements is true about Erin?

Answer: She is divorced and an Assistant District Attorney

Erin (played by Bridget Moynahan) is an Assistant District Attorney who sometimes finds herself at odds with other family members, particularly on civil rights issues. She is divorced and has a teenage daughter named Nicky, and while she encourages Nicky to form her own ideas and opinions, she also wrestles with the feeling that her daughter is growing up too fast.
Erin used a hyphenated last name but in season three, she breaks a rather significant tie to her ex-husband by having his last name (Boyle) removed from her office door.
6. Oldest son Danny Reagan is a New York City detective whose hard lined methods and quick temper have often landed him in hot water with his superiors and drawn criticism from his sister and younger brother. He is married with two young sons, Sean and Jack. What is the profession of Danny's wife, Linda?

Answer: Registered nurse

Despite Danny's objections, Linda goes back to work at the beginning of season three and is a trauma nurse at a local hospital. During one episode, Linda refuses to let Danny question a suspect until he is stable, causing a heated exchange in the ER. The incident causes further turmoil when the patient dies before he can be interviewed, but as usual, Danny and Linda manage to put their love for each other and their family ahead of their differences.
Danny and Linda are played by Donnie Wahlberg and Amy Carlson.
7. The entire Reagan family belongs to what religious faith?

Answer: Roman Catholic

In several episodes, family members are seen discussing matters of faith and social issues with their parish priest. Henry in particular seems to use his faith to deal with the world's insanity. All of the Reagan children attended Catholic school, as do their children.
8. Frank relies heavily on the advice of his Commissioner of Public Information and on his personal aide. The commissioner's name is Garrett Moore. What is the name of his personal aide?

Answer: Abigail Baker

The solemn and very efficient Detective Baker is Frank's personal aide. Though she rarely speaks other than to announce visitors or to remind him of forgotten appointments, it's obvious that she's a trusted and indispensable member of his inner circle.
Jackie Curatola and Kate Lansing are both former partners of Danny's and Sydney Davenport is Jamie's girlfriend during season one. She leaves him and moves to Europe when he chooses police work over his law degree.
9. In season two, Jamie meets and befriends Noble Sanfino, an event which leads him into a full fledged undercover operation and nearly costs him his life. Jamie assumes the alias of Jimmy Reardon to gain access to Noble's Mob-connected family. How do Jamie and Noble meet?

Answer: Jamie saves Noble's life after he takes some bad drugs

Jamie and his partner are working undercover in a nightclub when Jamie finds Noble unconscious (he'd taken some "bad" drugs) and saves his life by calling 911. Noble is unaware that Jamie is a cop when he calls to thank him, and Jamie uses the opportunity to gain access to the inner workings of the family business, even taking a job at one of the firms.
Noble's sister is a singer at her uncle's restaurant and sets her sights on Jamie until her brother voices his objections.
10. Sean, Danny and Linda's younger son, is the latest Reagan to build and drive a "soap box" car in the traditional Bay Ridge Derby. A long running rivalry between the Reagans and another family comes to a surprising conclusion, not only breaking the Reagan family's winning streak but revealing a well kept family secret. What happens at the end of this season three episode?

Answer: The race is won by a girl

Sean finishes second and his "arch rival" takes third. Henry finally admits that he has been "modifying" the cars for years, insuring that his family keeps the winning streak alive. Jamie and Frank discreetly remove Henry's "modifications" the night before the race, and Frank gives his own first place trophy to Sean, congratulating him for running a clean race.
Although Frank and his department have successfully diverted several threats to the city during his tenure, there are no issues the day of the Derby.
