During the last episode of season one, it is revealed that a small group of corrupt officers within the Blue Templar had orchestrated Joe's murder when he discovered their illegal activities. The officer who actually killed Joe commits suicide after admitting his guilt to Frank.

Erin (played by Bridget Moynahan) is an Assistant District Attorney who sometimes finds herself at odds with other family members, particularly on civil rights issues. She is divorced and has a teenage daughter named Nicky, and while she encourages Nicky to form her own ideas and opinions, she also wrestles with the feeling that her daughter is growing up too fast.
Erin used a hyphenated last name but in season three, she breaks a rather significant tie to her ex-husband by having his last name (Boyle) removed from her office door.

Despite Danny's objections, Linda goes back to work at the beginning of season three and is a trauma nurse at a local hospital. During one episode, Linda refuses to let Danny question a suspect until he is stable, causing a heated exchange in the ER. The incident causes further turmoil when the patient dies before he can be interviewed, but as usual, Danny and Linda manage to put their love for each other and their family ahead of their differences.
Danny and Linda are played by Donnie Wahlberg and Amy Carlson.

Jackie Curatola and Kate Lansing are both former partners of Danny's and Sydney Davenport is Jamie's girlfriend during season one. She leaves him and moves to Europe when he chooses police work over his law degree.

Answer: Jamie saves Noble's life after he takes some bad drugs

Jamie and his partner are working undercover in a nightclub when Jamie finds Noble unconscious (he'd taken some "bad" drugs) and saves his life by calling 911. Noble is unaware that Jamie is a cop when he calls to thank him, and Jamie uses the opportunity to gain access to the inner workings of the family business, even taking a job at one of the firms.
Noble's sister is a singer at her uncle's restaurant and sets her sights on Jamie until her brother voices his objections.

Answer: The race is won by a girl

Sean finishes second and his "arch rival" takes third. Henry finally admits that he has been "modifying" the cars for years, insuring that his family keeps the winning streak alive. Jamie and Frank discreetly remove Henry's "modifications" the night before the race, and Frank gives his own first place trophy to Sean, congratulating him for running a clean race.
Although Frank and his department have successfully diverted several threats to the city during his tenure, there are no issues the day of the Derby.
