1. Which two bosses are fought in the Gate of Madness mission?

The Gate of Madness is the penultimate mission in the game, where players must fight their way through hordes of nightmare creatures and summon the avatars of the Five Gods in their court. Waiting for players at the end of the mission are the Undead Lich and Shiro Tagachi, who have been brought back to life by Abaddon to do his bidding. Both these bosses fight the party at the same time, so it is important to focus on one until he is dead before turning attention to the other. Even with a full party of eight, this can be a tough battle, so taking over each statue of the gods will provide the party with additional buffs which should make fighting the Lich and Shiro a little bit easier.

Answer: Junundu

The yellow haze that covers a large amount of the Desolation will cause instant death to any humans who wander into it. However, with the aid of the Junundu, the humans can cross these expanses inside the wurms to safety. But before this can happen, the queen, Aijundu, must be defeated in the Gate of Desolation mission.

Kourna has the most cooperative missions out of all the areas in Elona. During your character's first play-through of the game, some of these missions will be mutually exclusive, depending on which hero you select (Master of Whispers or Margrid the Sly). The six missions are Venta Cemetery, Kodonur Crossroads, Rilohn Refuge/Pogahn Passage, Moddok Crevice and Nundu Bay. Nundu Bay only becomes available once you complete the quest Heart or Mind: Ronjok in Danger, acquired in Vabbi sometime after completing the Grand Court of Sebelkeh mission.

Answer: Chahbek Village

Chahbek Village is the first cooperative mission, allowing a party of four to enter. Kormir and Koss aid you in ridding the village of the Corsair, and familiarise you with the basic concepts of the game. Low-level Sunspear recruits also accompany you through the mission, so as long as you don't aggro too many corsairs at once (particularly towards the end of the mission), then it should be a breeze and you'll easily achieve the Master's Reward by saving all the recruits.

The Dervish is skilled with the scythe, capable of hitting multiple enemies with one attack. The Paragon is master of command and motivation, equipped with skills that help to coordinate party members in the battlefield, through the use of tactics.

Nightfallen Jahai has, as the name suggests, the same layout as Jahai Bluffs in Kourna, but with the added bonus of having been taken over by Abaddon and his nightmare creatures. The portal to the Gate of the Nightfallen Lands is located in the same place where the entrance to the Command Post of the Sunspear Sanctuary would be in Jahai Bluffs. It is not surprising, therefore, that this outpost is the nightfallen version of the Sunspear Sanctuary.

Answer: Five

The five missions are Tihark Orchard, Dasha Vestibule, Dzagonur Bastion, Grand Court of Sebelkeh and Jennur's Horde. Tihark Orchard is the game's only solo mission, and takes place in the Garden of Seborhin during the Festival of Lyss. If you chose Margrid the Sly, then Dasha Vestibule will be the next mission; if you chose Master of Whispers, then it's off to Dzagonur Bastion. The Grand Court of Sebelkeh mission is next - one which involves closing Margonite rifts and protecting the Altar of Lyssa from being controlled by the enemy. Some time later, you will be given a choice - either help Koss and defend the Garden of Seborhin in the Jennur's Horde mission, or help Melonni defend her home village of Ronjok in the Nundu Bay mission. The least number of Vabbian missions that you can participate in is three.

I hope you thought carefully about this question! Sunspear Sanctuary is only accessible from two explorable areas - Marga Coast and Command Post. The Command Post area contains no foes, and provides access to the surrounding areas - Sunward Marches, Turai's Procession, Jahai Bluffs and Arkjok Ward.

This mission involves your character defeating Corsairs which have docked and infiltrated the village and surrounding area. In order to complete the mission, you will need to defeat them all. A method that will help you complete the task faster is by using barrels of oil to capapult two Corsair ships. In order to claim the Masters Reward for this mission, all three Sunspear Recruits must survive.

The Gate of Torment is the main town/outpost in the Realm of Torment. Amongst the hellish terrain and nightmarish scenery are several Forgotten guardians who will offer you their services, and the lost souls of various people wandering around trying to return to 'the land of the living', so to speak.

The Basalt Grotto is a sort of underground passage linking Vabbi with the Desolation, and was used extensively by Palawa Joko during his invasion. It is an optional outpost, and does not need to be visited in order to complete the main storyline.

Palawa Joko was imprisoned in a tomb in Jahai Bluffs after his defeat by Turai Ossa. Instead, he shows up during the Gate of Desolation mission as a guide through the Sulfurous Wastes.

Kamadan is commonly known as The Jewel of Istan, probably due to the fact that it's one of the few places on the large island that isn't swarming with large monsters. Kamadan is a port of call on your journey through "Guild Wars" and from its port you can connect to Kaineng City, Lion's Arch, and the Battle Isles. This city will hold any and every merchant you will need from Armor to Weapons to Dye and Runes. This city is also split into smaller areas including the Sun Docks and the Consulate.

Mihanu Township isn't a particularly significant outpost in Vabbi. The standard merchant and storage chest are there, along with a rune trader and rare scroll trader. Only one quest originates here, so its main purpose is a pitstop for players travelling to see Prince Mehtu the Wise in his palace.

Grub Lances are usually found in small groups of insects, and provide basic healing for their comrades. For low-level characters, killing a group containing a Grub Lance may take longer than expected, due to the Lance nearly constantly using the fast-recharging Orison of Healing. Coordinated attacks will be able to overcome the healing and make fighting the other insects a bit easier.

Master of Whispers is a Necromancer who is a powerful ally to have as you progress through the game, along with his Order of Whispers. There are two missions that require Master of Whispers to be in the party - Rilohn Refuge and Dzagonur Bastion. It is in the latter than he reveals his true name - Jurah.

Answer: Gate of Pain

Gate of Pain is the first mission in the Realm of Torment, and can be fairly tricky to complete, even with an experienced party. The crux of the mission is to find and defeat Tortureweb Dryders before they can kill the Lost Souls they hold. A whole host of Torment creatures patrol the area, making this quite a difficult task to accomplish. These patrol groups tend to be quite close to one another, so taking too long to kill a group may result in another patrol passing close by and getting in on the action. After the mission is complete, the party will find themselves in the Gate of Fear.

Dubbed Elonian version of the Scepter of Orr, the Staff of the Mists is featured in a quest chain taking place primarily in Poisoned Outcrops. The Staff is a powerful artifact in the hands of a Margonite boss, and it must be taken and disposed of before any damage is done.

The Jokanur Diggings mission takes place in the ruins of Fahranur, the First City, which is overrun by plants and Undead. The Apocrypha lies deep within the city, and slaying it is the primary objective of the mission. However, the Apocrypha is a monolith, and can change shape and profession, which can really put pressure on an unprepared party.

The player has a choice of either helping Melonni or Koss. Melonni needs to protect her village of Ronjok in the Nundu Bay mission, and Koss wants to defend the Garden of Seborhin in Jennur's Horde.

Zehlon Reach is between Jokanur Diggings and the Astralarium in the northern end of the island. It also connects to the Cliffs of Dohjok to the south. The area is home to two Masters Quests; one of which involves an evil mime! The arae contains a large amount of Corsairs, much like the other regions of the island, but it also contains many Irontooth Drakes, Lances, Mandragors, and Skale. You can tame pet flamingos here as well.

In this challenge mission, you take control of a Junundu, and must kill as many foes as you can before you die. Infestations and Greater Infestations litter the area, and occasionally Maddened Spirits, who are invincible, will try to attack you. The only way to kill them is by killing a Greater Infestation, which will grant you the temporary Spirit Form, allowing you to kill Maddened Spirits.

Many quests exist in Vabbi that reward you with Trade Contracts. These contracts can be exchanged for various items, depending on the amount traded. Pooling your contracts is best, as giving 7 of them to a member of the Order of Whispers will get you either a ruby, sapphire or diamond - ideal if you're after Vabbian armour.

Kournan Field Commanders are usually accompanied by a Kournan Spotter, who can detect players from a longer distance than other enemies can. Once the Spotter has identified the players, he sends a warning to the Field Commander who then begins bombarding the players with devastating siege attacks.

Fanged Ibogas are the bane of the melee character's existence, making good use of Imagined Burden and Soothing Images to slow down movement speed and prevent adrenaline gain, respectively. Their only real damage skill is Conjure Phantasm, a hex spell which causes health degeneration. Relatively heavy hex removal is advised, especially when taking on multiple Ibogas at once.

Fahranur is on the western end of the island and it overlooks the sea. Players will need to trek through the forests around this structure and make their way through the traps and trials of the location. In this mission, players will need to have Melonni in their party at all times and as a group, everyone must collect tablets to open doorways to fight Apocrypha. For the bonus, you will need to prevent yourself from killing any Sunspear Ghosts that may hinder your journey.
