Xenoblade Trivia Questions

1. What does Fiora bring Shulk at the beginning of the game?

From Quiz
"Xenoblade Chronicles" - Shulk and Fiora

Answer: Food

2. At the start of the game, your city/spaceship, New Los Angeles, crash-lands into the planet Mira. Which continent does it land in?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles X" Locations

Answer: Primordia

New Los Angeles (NLA) is the habitation module of the White Whale, a colony ship that humanity sent out before Earth was destroyed. It remained intact after it crashed into Mira and serves as the base of operations throughout the game.

3. What is the name of the strange weapon that Shulk wields?

From Quiz Xenoblade Chronicles

Shulk sees a vision where Fiora is killed, however he is unable to warn her because of his inexperience with the Monado's powers. Metal Face stabs Fiora with his massive claws, and throws Dora into a wall. Smaller Mechon then swarm the unit.

5. Even when physical attacks (or even the Monado I) are ineffective on Mechon, what status effect, if inflicted, still lets you damage them physically?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Gameplay & Enemies

Answer: Topple

Toppling is the status that allows for any physical hits to be effective against Mechon. Break only allows Mechon to be susceptible to topple, not susceptible to physical hits. Using this method is crucial for defeating some of the Faced-Mechon battles earlier in the game.

6. All High Entia have wings, but they're never shown flying with them-- except one. Who is it?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Interesting Facts

From Quiz Xenoblade Chronicles

8. Who is the first to set out with Shulk on his quest for revenge?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" - Shulk and Fiora

10. Where is Fiora first seen inside her Face?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" - Shulk and Fiora

Answer: Prison Island

A silver Mechon appears to fight alongside Metal Face at the summit of Prison Island. Shulk attacks with newly released Monado II, cutting through part of Metal Face and cutting off the silver Mechon, known as Face Nemesis', torso plating. Fiora is seen inside.

11. Finish Dunban's battle quote: "Born in a world of strife. Against the odds! We choose to fight! _______ _____!"

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Gameplay & Enemies

Answer: Blossom Dance

Blossom Dance, (which is the Art this quote is from), has everything going for it honestly: Well, as seen by the question, it's spirited, climactic, and overall sounds well. And in actual game-play it's also very good. Blossom Dance is a five-hit attack (3rd phase does two strikes) that's wholly one of the strongest moves in the game. Use in a high multiplier Chain Attack to really see it shine (this also negates the drawback of how long the move takes too).

12. Who plans and orders the assassination of Melia?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Story

Answer: Yumea

The First Consort, Yumea, is part of the cultist group, the Bionite order. She's disgusted by the idea of mixed-blooded High Entia, especially for the position of the successor to the throne. Melia, being half-Homs, is targeted by her.

14. Where does Fiora rejoin the party?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" - Shulk and Fiora

Answer: Fallen Arm

Fiora's Face falls off Galahad Fortress with her still inside, along with Shulk, who tries to save her. Shulk reawakens Fiora with a kiss on Wreckage Beach. She is brought to the Hidden Machina Village, where she is treated by Linada and Sharla

15. The High Entia have lived in Satorl Marsh (disclosed by Dickson) and Alcamoth, but what other place are the High Entia theorized (by Talia) to have lived in, considering the original war god statue is there?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Interesting Facts

Answer: Valaak Mountain

At La Luz Church on Valaak Mountain, we find the original war god statue. Since a copy war god statue is in every place the High Entia have resided in or are residing in, Talia deems that is likely that they have lived in Valaak Mountain. This case is made even stronger considering that the statue on Valaak Mountain is the original statue. On the topic of HOW the High Entia lived there, Talia notes that a while ago Valaak Mountain must have been inhabitable, but due to movements of the Bionis, the area became colder forcing the High Entia to leave.

16. What is the Noctilum's most prominent feature in the northern part of the continent?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles X" Locations

Answer: A waterfall with a large red plant

There is no way to ascend the waterfall without having the flight module for your exoskeleton, which is received late in the game. The reward is great, though; there are some of the most powerful enemies in the game up there. They drop valuable materials that you can use to make gear.

Answer: Mumkhar

19. Which gem gives resistance to ALL debuffs (note that this doesn't include blow-down, topple, or daze since those are statuses)?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Gameplay & Enemies

Answer: Debuff Resist

Divine Protect only gives resistance to one debuff, while the other two don't provide resistance to debuffs at all. Debuff resist is an invaluable gem, it protects against EVERY debuff. Poison, Sleep, Blaze, Bleed, Paralysis and much more! The humorous part is that there are dedicated gems such as Slow Resist and Sleep Resist that are completely outclassed by Debuff Resist, since Debuff Resist can do both both their jobs and much more.

20. "Your blade...it did not cut deep enough" Who says this poignant quote?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Best Moments

Answer: Egil

This quote became quite popular due to how strong, articulate, and emotionally affecting it is. And it has a quite poetic dual meaning. Shulk fights and stabs Egil, yet before and after the fight, Shulk still tries to negotiate with Egil. However, his "sword", his Monado and his words, did not "cut deep enough" to affect Egil. Egil then removes the Monado from his shoulders and proceeds to subdue the party with Yaldabaoth.

21. Who accurately anticipated the destruction of Alcamoth, specifically fearing that Melia would be the last ruler of the High Entia?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Interesting Facts

Answer: The High Entia Tomb machine (emulation of an ancestor)

The emulation reveals this after Melia completes the Trial of the Tomb. It says, "It is you who will rule the High Entia, and likely be their last." How the machine learned this is a mystery, but the High Entia Technology is said to be the most advanced in Bionis. Somehow it knew that the Bionis would successfully awaken.

22. After going into Agniratha and meeting Egil, he reveals his overarching plan to defeat the Bionis. What is it?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Story

Answer: Cut its food supply - the lifeforms of Bionis

He explicitly states this which incites surprise from the Shulk and co. The fact that the lifeforms of Bionis are its food is also a plot device that directs many issues a little later in the game. Killing Shulk wouldn't do anything, as that would just release Zanza himself and awaken the Bionis anyway. Egil also specifically cuts out Meyneth out of his plans as well, since she does not want to fight.

23. Moving eastward now, there is a desert world east of Primordia. What is its name?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles X" Locations

Answer: Oblivia

Oblivia is mostly desert, but it does have a sizeable oasis in the North, which is home to a caravan of Nopon. Oblivia also boasts a floating island and parts of the White Whale colony ship.

24. At Frontier Village, we are introduced to Riki, a Nopon. What is Riki also known as?

From Quiz Xenoblade Chronicles

25. In the game's final Heart-to-Heart, ''Before the Final Battle'', what do Shulk and Fiora plan to do after defeating Zanza?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" - Shulk and Fiora

Answer: Have a picnic

Sadly, this is as close as we get to seeing them in an official relationship, as in the words of Shulk, ''Sure thing, Fiora. It's a date. One day, I promise''. According to Dunban, they may just not be ready yet.

26. What location is notable for having mainly lower-level enemies in the day (Level 20-30), but then generally spawning incredibly high level enemies at night (Level 70 and higher)?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Gameplay & Enemies

Answer: Satorl Marsh

The other locations' enemy levels mostly stay constant going into the night. However, in Satorl, a whole bunch of strong enemies come out during night. Examples: The Coppice Quadwings (lvl 23-24) and switched for Grove Quadwings (lvl 81-82). The Satorl Volves leave for Green Ferises (lvl 79-85). Mist Rhogals (lvl 25) are switched for Satorl Rhoguls (lvl 84-85). Also, the Despotic Arsene (lvl 108) comes out at night.

27. Who kills the First Consort, Yumea?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Interesting Facts

Answer: Melia

It's all ironic: Melia loved Yumea. Yumea hated Melia. In the end, Melia kills Yumeam since she is now a telethia. She spearheads the fight against Yumea. She then kills her by ether implosion, not wanting Tyrea to do it since she knew Tyrea loved Yumea. All of this is seen in "Melancholy Tyrea" side quest.

28. While the party fights in Mechonis Core, we see another series of incredible, cinematic scenes. Which does not occur?

From Quiz "Xenoblade Chronicles" Story

Answer: Melia & co. find out about the Telethia gene

This happens afterwards when the party is on airship Junks. However, before this, while the party is still in the Mechonis Core, Zanza unleashes large ether concentrations in Alcamoth, but we don't actually see a transformation and, more importantly, aren't given any information at all about the Telethia gene.

29. What is a 'Dinobeast'?

From Quiz Xenoblade Chronicles

Answer: Telethia

Late in the game, you will find out what a Telethia is.
