He recorded albums and did musicals and concerts. His many awards span 63 years, from 1952 to 2015. He has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and is considered by some among the best directors ever. Lewis hosted a TV telethon to benefit those with Muscular Dystrophy for 45 years.

His last film performance was "Max Rose" (2016), age 90. Lewis and Clark is the team hinted at in the photo.

Answer: Suzuki

In 2017 he was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame, for his work in science and technology. The photo is a Suzuki motorcycle.
3. This enduring celebrity has interviewed the most powerful, funny, distressing and famous people in the world on his CNN TV show, "Larry _____ Live". What's Larry's last name?

Answer: King

A big drumroll for Larry King, please! He is an American icon, a television and radio host who started life on welfare, and got his first radio work back in the 1950s. He made it to national level broadcasting in 1978. Born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger, 1933, King grabbed his new name off an advertisement. "Larry King Live" was CNN's most watched and longest-running show, enduring from 1985-2010. King allowed his guests to present themselves as they wished, without confrontation, so many controversial or political people liked to be on his show.

After King left CNN he hosted a TV series "In View with Larry King" from 2013-2015. King has married 8 times, and had 5 kids. He has said he will die before he retires. He's active on the social-network site "Twitter".
4. Drum roll for enduring star Jeff Bridges, please! When Jeff Bridges is "The Dude", in "The Big Lebowski" he's upset that someone broke into his place and urinated on what?

Answer: Rug

In "The Big Lebowski" Jeff Bridges (1949) plays Jeff Lebowski, an easy-going burnout who knocks on the door of a gangster to complain that two thugs mistakenly broke into his place and urinated on The Dude's carpet. An actor, singer, musician and producer, Jeff's first role was as a toddler in "The Company She Keeps" (1951).

In 2017 at age 68 in he was in 3 films, so this enduring star could potentially have a successful acting career from cradle to grave. Bridges earned his first Academy Award nomination at just 22 ("The Last Picture Show" 1971), and won at age 60 ("Crazy Heart" 2009)). By 2010 he'd been nominated six times.

He's actively involved in ending hunger and starvation for children around the world. Drumroll for Jeff Bridges, please!
5. In "Invictus" (2009) Morgan Freeman won a Golden Globe for playing a nation's president. Which unbowed, unbroken, unbeaten president did Freeman play?

Answer: Nelson Mandela

Invictus means unbeaten, or undefeated and Morgan Freeman (Morgan Porterfield Freeman Jr., 1937) has certainly been that. He was Oscar nominated for his amazing 35th film role, playing President Nelson Mandela in "Invictus" (2009). Mandela seeks to unite a divided nation via the 1995 Rugby World Cup games. Freeman was also nominated for "Street Smart" (1987), "Driving Miss Daisy" (1989) and "The Shawshank Redemption" (1994).

He won an Oscar for "Million Dollar Baby" in 2005. Freeman's first movie appearance was in 1980, in "Brubaker" with Robert Redford.

But it seems Freeman is "Just Getting Started" in 2017. Drumroll for this enduring celebrity! Freeman keeps a sanctuary for bees in his (spare?) time. The photo shows a mandala symbol created with colored sand.
6. Game show host Bob Barker helped contestants beat the odds for 35 years. What IS the price, on Barker's long running show?

Answer: Right

"Come on Down!" Robert William Barker (born 1923) is an American legend as the much-loved talk show host of "The Price is Right" from 1972 to 2007, then the longest-running daytime game show in North American TV history. Contestants were called down from the live audience, to beat each other at guessing the price of a prize.

In a very popular scene of the movie "Happy Gilmore" Barker, playing himself, beats up Happy (Adam Sandler). This won the first "MTV Movie Award for Best Fight". Barker is trained in martial arts and despite his age, beat Sandler soundly. Barker hosted "Truth or Consequences" from 1956 to 1974, and is a strong advocate for spaying and neutering of pets.
7. Drumroll, please! Which is the Utah independent film festival that the great actor Robert Redford chairs?

Answer: Sundance

Actor, environmentalist, philanthropist, producer and director, Charles Robert Redford (1936) chairs the "Sundance Film Festival", a Utah venue for new, independent and foreign film. Redford's first film role was "War Hunt" in 1962, but it was "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (1969), with co-star and close friend Paul Newman, that made Redford a big star.

It was followed by dozens of successful movie roles. His first film as director was "Ordinary People" (1980) which won four Oscars, including Best Director and Best Picture; repeated in 1995 with "Quiz Show".

In 2014 Redford was listed by "Time" as one of the most influential people in the world. In 2016, age 80, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, given for "especially meritorious contribution". Redford has fostered many new film talents with "Sundance", and he beats a loud drum for environmental preservation.
8. Beat the drums for enduring star Clint Eastwood! In 2005 he was the eldest director to win the Best Director Oscar. He won it for which film?

Answer: Million Dollar Baby

Born in California in 1930, Clinton Eastwood, Jr. is a musician, composer, actor, businessman, politician, producer and director. For many years he held the record as the longest-lived director (age 74) to beat out the competition and win the Best Director Academy Award (2005). Roman Polanski won it at age 69 in 1933. Before that it was George Cukor, 65, way back in 1899. Eastwood won for "Million Dollar Baby" (2004), a boxing drama which he starred in, scored and directed.

The film was named the third "Best Film of the 21st Century so far" in 2017 by "The New York Times". Eastwood began his enduring career back in 1955, with a minor role in "Revenge of the Creature".

9. A scrawny kid who was beaten up at school changed his name to Atlas and became America's most long-lasting exercise guru. What inspired him to become Atlas?

Answer: Statues of mythic figures

Roll the drums for this manly man! Charles Atlas (Angelo Siciliano, 1892-1972) was a skinny Italian immigrant as a boy, often beaten up at school. Looking at statues of Hercules and others caused the boy to realize no bully beats up a strongman. Siciliano tried various exercise methods to build his bulk, finally hitting upon his signature "dynamic tension" isometrics.

His bold ads showed a "skinny chump" able to go beat up the bully after using this authentic method. World class boxers took his program, and his famous business prospered even beyond his death at age 80. Likewise his handsome "America's Most Perfectly Developed" physique ("Physical Culture" 1921) endures in the form of dozens of statues Atlas posed for. Angelo chose the name Atlas because a friend said Angelo, at age 30, looked much like a local statue of the Titan.

The mythic Titan Atlas was condemned to hold up the world for eternity.
10. When it comes to beating anything and anyone, Michael Jordan is a pro. What was his sport nickname?

Answer: His Airness

American basketball great "His Airness" Michael Jordan didn't make the high school varsity squad because he was "only" five eleven, but he would retire from the court as 14 time All Star, 6 time NBA Champ, 10 time NBA Scoring Champ, and much more. He's been called "the most competitive man on the planet" with an aggressive ability to leap and shoot. Jordan retired 3 times but kept coming back, beating the odds, beating the clock, and beating opponents.

He beat his own drum, too, playing basketball with Bugs Bunny, appearing in "Space Jam", promoting Cola, Gatorade, Nike and others. Thus far he's been on the cover of "Sports Illustrated" no less than fifty times.

He is inducted into the Basketball and FIBA Halls of Fame, and he was honored with a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016. Drumroll for this enduring star, please!
