Zellweger played Bridget in "Bridget Jones's Diary," a very funny film that was directed by Sharon Maguire and also starred Hugh Grant and Colin Firth. The sequel is entitled "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason," which picks up four weeks after the first film ends, when Bridget is already becoming somewhat uncomfortable with her newfound love.

The cast is largely the same, but the second film is directed by Beeban Kidron. I have also read that Zellweger's second weight gain was as much for her role of Ruby Thewes in "Cold Mountain," as it was for the "Bridget Jones" sequel.
