Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Steve Craig, with movie credits for costumes and production design, married into a large family, twice.

Answer: Marie Osmond

Singer, actress, producer and "Dancing with the Stars" second runner-up Marie Osmond is the only sister of eight brothers, including Donny with whom she has appeared on more than one successful television series.

She first married Craig in 1982 and they had one son before splitting in 1985. Marie's second marriage, to Brian Blosil, lasted 21 years and produced six more children, but they split in 2007. She remarried Steve Craig in 2011 after more than two decades apart.
2. Colleen Dewhurst received four primetime Emmys during her career. The man she married twice won an acting Oscar, though he refused to keep it.

Answer: George C. Scott

George C. Scott won the Best Actor Oscar for "Patton" (1970) but did not appear to accept it, and asked for it to be returned to the Academy. His awards also included primetime Emmys and Golden Globes.

He and Dewhurst were married from 1960 until 1965, then again from 1967 until 1972. After divorcing Canadian-born Dewhurst for the second time, Scott married American actress Trish Van Devere, to whom he remained married until his death in 1999.
3. William Elliott was an actor and drummer who died at the relatively young age of 49. He still found time to wed his more famous singer-actress wife a couple of times.

Answer: Dionne Warwick

Elliott's acting credits included the TV series "Bridget Loves Bernie" (1972) and "Adam-12" (several episodes in 1974-75), in both cases using the name Bill Elliott. Warwick came from a musical family and studied music in college after graduating from high school. Between 1962 and 1998 she had nearly 70 hits on the "Billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles" charts.

The couple married first in 1966, divorced and remarried within a few months in 1967, after which they had two sons, the younger of whom, Damon Elliott, became a rapper and music producer. They divorced for a second time in 1975, and William Elliott died in 1983.
4. Jose Ferrer won an Oscar for playing Cyrano; his two-time wife counted her blessings with Bing Crosby.

Answer: Rosemary Clooney

Almost every December it has been possible to watch Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby as they sang "Count Your Blessings instead of Sheep" in 1954's "White Christmas". Ferrer's Best Actor award came for "Cyrano de Bergerac" (1950) triumphing over James Stewart and Spencer Tracy, amongst others.

Ferrer and Clooney (George Clooney's aunt) married first in 1953, divorced in 1962 and remarried in 1964. They split for good in 1967, having had five children together. Their eldest son, Miguel Ferrer, has played Owen Granger on "NCIS: Los Angeles" since 2012.
5. Joyce Indig was probably most famous as the mother of her comedian husband's two children. Was she showing him some respect when they remarried?

Answer: Rodney Dangerfield

Rodney Dangerfield was always lamenting "I don't get no respect!" although the double negative might have meant that he was respected. His acting credits included "Caddyshack" (1980) and 1983's "Easy Money" for which he also received a writing credit.

His two marriages to Joyce Indig totalled 20 years, from 1949-62 and again from 1963 until 1970.
6. Linnethia Monique Johnson used a different name when appearing on her reality TV series, but to use it here would give away the name of her husband, who has also appeared on that show.

Answer: Gregg Leakes

She is better known, of course, as NeNe Leakes of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" fame, on which hubby Gregg has also appeared. NeNe has also taken on acting roles in TV series like "Glee" and "The New Normal" as well as competing in such reality contests as "The Apprentice" and "Dancing with the Stars".

Their first marriage spanned the years 1997-2011. After a short break they remarried each other in 2013.
7. Judge Judy is how she has become best known, after her TV show. Divorced from her fellow TV judge husband after over a decade, they said "Let's try again" after a year apart.

Answer: Jerry Sheindlin

Born Judith Blum, and formerly married to Ronald Levy, Judy Sheindlin has appeared on "Judge Judy" since 1996, handing out her own particular form of justice to defendants. Jerry Sheindlin has probably been best known as a judge on "The People's Court".

Their first marriage lasted from 1977 until 1990, and they remarried in 1991. She has two children from her first marriage (to Levy) and the two judges have three offspring together.
8. Gladys Portugues had a small role in the 1986 Jane Fonda film "The Morning After". Her more famous two-time husband has been known for his muscles.

Answer: Jean-Claude Van Damme

Specifically, the Belgian actor and martial arts expert was dubbed "The Muscles from Brussels", reflecting the fact that he has often appeared shirtless to show off those attributes. His movie credits have included "Double Impact" and "Kickboxer".

The two were first married from 1987-92, and had two children. After his brief marriage to actress Darcy LaPier, Van Damme and Portugues remarried in 1997.
9. Rick Salomon has acquired credits for acting and producing, but twice marrying this Canadian beauty, who always looked good in a swimsuit, was probably his biggest claim to fame.

Answer: Pamela Anderson

Most of Pamela Anderson's swimsuit scenes took place during her five seasons on the TV show "Baywatch", but her list of acting credits has grown to be a long one, including playing the ditzy Heather Biblow on "The Nanny" and voice work on "King of the Hill".

Their first marriage lasted only five months, but after nearly six years they tried again, in 2014. Sadly they split again a little more than a year later.
10. Robert Wagner has continued to endear himself to fans of "NCIS", but years earlier the sudden death of his equally famous actress-wife ended their second try at wedding each other.

Answer: Natalie Wood

Natalie Wood made a successful transition from child star in such films as "Miracle on 34th Street" (1947) to adult star in "West Side Story" (1961) and "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" (1969). Wagner started in the early fifties in war movies and westerns and films like "The Pink Panther" in 1963. A number of TV series followed, including "Hart to Hart" (1979-84) and his recurring role as Tony DiNozzo's father on "NCIS", starting with the episode "Flesh and Blood" in 2010.

First married in 1957, they divorced in 1962 and each married someone else. Once both were free again, they remarried in 1972 and were still together when Natalie fell from their boat and drowned in 1981.
