Curly, Moe and Shemp Horwitz were 3 of 5 brothers born to Jewish parents in a suburb of New York City. The other 2 brothers steered clear of showbiz and took up 'normal' jobs.

He was born in the south side of Philly on the 5th October, 1902. His name at birth was Louis Feinberg.

He agreed to shave off his head hair and moustache and so a legend was born. His original stage name was actually Babe but Curly was adopted by him soon after.

They did indeed make a total of 191 short films, in 28 years ... making films from 1930 up until 1958.

The film was a parody of the film "Men in White". It was released in 1934 but did not receive the Oscar.

The reaction of the New York Herald to the film was, 'For Stooges buffs it ARE a lot of fun'. And so ended some of the funniest and wackiest films ever made.

Larry died on January 24th and Moe on May 4th. Bringing to an end the real partnership of the Three Stooges.
