Freeman has done so many good roles in his long career. The ones mentioned in the question are from the movies "Driving Miss Daisy (1989), The Shawshank Redemption" (1994), "Million Dollar Baby" (2004), "The Dark Knight" franchise (2005-2012) and, of course, God in "Evan Almighty" (2007) and "Bruce Almighty" (2003), in which Freeman portrays God a lovable prankster. God wears a ball cap with the New York Yankees logo on it and upon reading that Bruce (Jim Carrey) has said, "Smite me Oh Mighty Smiter" admits, that "I'm not big on blasphemy, but that made me laugh." Away from acting, Freeman is an avid beekeeper, having turned a large part of his 120 acre ranch into a bee sanctuary as well as being a pilot and owning his own jet. Who knew God flies a plane?

Goldberg, for all her heavenly charm on these two occasions, will always be remembered for playing Oda Mae Brown in "Ghost" (1990) or Celie Harris Johnson in "The Color Purple" (1985) before she is remembered as God. With regard to her EGOT membership, she won a 1985 Grammy for Best Comedy Recording of her "Whoopi Goldberg-Original Broadway Show", followed by a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for "Ghost".

In 2002 she got her Emmy for hosting "Beyond Tara: The Extraordinary Life of Hattie McDaniel" and also a Tony as co-producer of "Thoroughly Modern Millie".

In "A Little Bit Of Heaven" (2011), when God appears to Marley Corbett (Kate Hudson), she explains that her appearance varies depending on how we want her to look. Corbett says, "Well, I love Whoopi. So that's probably why", to which God replies, "Yeah, me too." The film, "It's A Very Muppet Christmas Movie" (2002) is loosely based on "It's A Wonderful Life" (1946) and when Kermit is having doubts about the future and losing hope, God allows an angel, played by David Arquette to help him through troubled times.

Zombie, whose real name is Rob Cummings, started his musical career with the band White Zombie, who achieved some success; in 1998, however, Zombie disbanded the group to go solo and concentrate on other projects. As a solo musician, he has been more successful and performed collaborations with the like of Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne.

His acting career contains a lot of voice roles, including "Guardians Of The Galaxy" (2014), as well as the follow up "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2" (2017), and the aforementioned "Super". Maybe he has the perfect face for voice acting? In "Super" God is responsible for Rainn Wilson's character becoming a superhero as it is God that tells him to marry the girl who eventually breaks his heart, leading to his transformation.

Groucho's portrayal of God as a yacht owning, weed smoking stoner in "Skidoo" (1968), couldn't keep this film from being panned by critics and audiences alike. It does seem a shame that this was his last movie. He starred with Carmen Miranda in "Copacabana" (1947), played himself in "Mr. Music" (1950) alongside Bing Crosby, starred with Frank Sinatra and Jane Russell in "Double Dynamite" (1951), and had an uncredited part in the 1957 Jayne Mansfield film, "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" God's role in the movie, apart from getting stoned at every opportunity, is to call a mobster out of retirement in order for him to carry out a hit on a fellow gangster.

Plimpton is possibly better known as the guy who, as an amateur, trained and played with several professional sports teams and wrote about the experience. Among these teams were the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Colts football teams and the Boston Bruins ice hockey team. He also spent time on golf's PGA tour and sparred with boxer "Sugar" Ray Robinson. In "A Fool And His Money", Plimpton, as God sends a message to an advertising executive played by Jonathan Penner, advising him to start his own business. He forms a new religion based on greed, which feeds God's interest in tax loopholes.

Chapman actually graduated as a doctor from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, but despite being both qualified and registered as a doctor, gave it up for his love of comedy. One of his never to be forgotten pieces was "The Dead Parrot Sketch" written by himself and John Cleese and starring Cleese and Micheal Palin.

As it is just Chapman's voice as God, the face of late 19th century cricketer W.G. Grace was used for that of God, who is very forthright in this movie, telling believers that he can't stand groveling of apologising and finds Psalms depressing.

He does seem to like adventure though, as he instructs King Arthur to find the Holy Grail.

Answer: Rodney Dangerfield

"Angels With Angles" (2005) was Dangerfield's final movie role and it is quite the bizarre movie, full of big names without an all star cast. This is because the movies characters are people such as George Burns, Gracie Allen, the Marx brothers, Mae West, Fidel Castro and Albert Einstein, along with Elvis Presley, who is played by Frank Stallone.

These residents of heaven are under God's control and must prove themselves to him, such as when George Burns, who is a level one angel wishes to be reunited with Gracie Allen, a level six angel, God instructs him to return to Earth and assist a man caught up in a plot to steal cigars from Fidel Castro. Dangerfield, who died in 2004, was famous for his "I don't get no respect" catchphrase and his repertoire of one liners, of which my personal favourite was always, "Last week my house was on fire. My wife told the kids, 'Be quiet,..you'll wake up Daddy.' " In "Little Nicky" Dangerfield played Lucifer, father to Satan (Harvey Keitel), who after ten thousand years is ready to give up his Prince of Darkness title.

Answer: Ralph Richardson

Sir Ralph, was often mentioned in the same breath as Laurence Olivier, Kenneth Branagh, Ian McKellen, Derek Jacobi and John Gielgud when the conversation is of great Shakespearean actor. Like all of these, Richardson had the ability to speak the lines as if he were thinking them and not acting at all. "Time Bandits" was a Terry Gilliam (of Monty Python) directed movie about a group of dwarves that used to work for God, but are now intent on plundering various civilisations of their treasure.

In the movie Cleese starred as Robin Hood and Connery as King Agamemnon.

The plot of "Dogma" revolves around two angels, cast out of Heaven by God, who plan to use a loophole in Catholic dogma to re-enter, but as existence is founded on the principle that God is infallible, if they should succeed in their task, it would both prove God wrong and therefore destroy all creation. To say this movie was controversial is an understatement and opening nights had to rescheduled in many countries due to protests, while director Kevin Smith received death threats and the Catholic League called it blasphemous. Morissette is a versatile actor and a talented musician who has come a long way since 1991, when she was the opening act for Vanilla Ice on his tour.

Kilmer certainly knows how to pick a good role when one looks at his past performances. In a ten year period, he played Madmartigan in "Willow" (1988), Jim Morrison in "The Doors" (1991), Doc Holliday in "Tombstone" (1993), Batman in "Batman Forever" (1995) and then topped off the period by playing God in this film which is a faithful retelling of the Book of Exodus. God arranges for the infant Moses to be discovered and raised by the Queen of Egypt. Upon realising his true identity though, Moses attempts to flee the city only for God to tell him that he must fulfil his destiny. Shortly after this move though, his career floundered and over the next 15 years or so he appeared in many "direct to video" releases, such as "Hard Cash" (2002), "Felon" (2008) and "Riddle" (2012). No, I've never seen any of them either.
