Cobain was the lead singer of Nirvana and the face of the grunge movement in rock music in the early 1990s. They released one of the highest-selling rock albums of all-time, "Nevermind" in 1991, and a successful follow-up, "In Utero", in 1993. They are famous for songs such as "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "In Bloom", "Come as you Are", "Lithium" and "Heart-Shaped Box".

Unfortunately, the band didn't last long. This is because Cobain was found dead in 1994, with a gun and a suicide note in his hand. The details of his death are unknown.

Wood was a famous actress from age four until her death. She appeared in movies such as "Miracle on 34th Street", "Splendor in the Grass", and "Love With the Proper Stranger". She won four Golden Globe Awards and was nominated for many other awards.

In 1982, she went on a boat trip with her husband Robert Wagner, actor Christopher Walken, and boat drive Dennis Davern. During this trip, her dead body was found. How she got in the water or why she was in the water is a mystery that had not been solved at the time this quiz was made. It is known that she did not enter the water willingly, because she couldn't swim and hated water. All the details of her death were unknown for decades.

However, she was unpopular because of her violent behavior. People she threatened to kill include her baby-sitter, her psychiatrist, and herself.

She got into college at age 16, but was expelled for being arrested twice (first for buying marijuana from an undercover cop, then again for stolen property found in her dorm room). She then got a job but was fired on her first day. So she became a groupie that followed around famous rock bands.

She became famous when she met and dated Sid Vicious, the bass player of the legendary punk rock band the Sex Pistols. Their relationship was an unhealthy one. They abused each other (physically and verbally) and they became addicted to dangerous drugs like heroin.

On October 12, 1978, Nancy Spungen was found dead with a stab wound in her abdomen. Vicious was charged with her murder, but he died of a drug overdose before he could be taken to court.

Answer: Brian Spencer

Spencer played in the NHL for 10 years. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1969. One day, he called his father Roy to tell him that the Maple Leafs were going to be on National TV and that Brian was going to be interviewed between periods. However, a different game was aired instead. Roy went to the TV station and used a gun to demand the TV station to show the Maple Leafs. The station complied, but before Roy could leave the station, he was shot and killed.

Brian Spencer played in the NHL for 10 years. After he retired in 1980, his life went into a downward spiral filled with drugs and violence. In 1987, he was charged with murder. He was acquitted, and vowed to change his life. He did not keep his promise. In 1988, he was shot and killed following a purchase of cocaine. The reasons of his murder are unknown.

Bobby Fuller was famous for hit songs such as his original song "Let Her Dance", his cover of Sonny Curtis's "I Fought the Law" and his cover of Buddy Holly's "Love's Made a Fool of You".

However, his career and life didn't last long. In 1966, at age 23, he was found dead in his car. There were petechia all over his body, but no signs of physical violence. How he died was unknown at the time this quiz was made.

Answer: The Notorious B.I.G.

Christopher Wallace got the stage name "The Notorious B.I.G." because he had been a large person for his age ever since he was ten years old. Before he was a rapper, he lived a not-so-glamorous life as a drug dealer. He spent 9 months in jail for this. He was also once arrested for threatening to kill two fans seeking autographs. For that crime he was sentenced to community service. In 1997, he was killed while driving (stopped at a red light) when someone pulled up in a car next to him and shot him. Officially, his murder was unsolved for a long time. Christopher Wallace only released one album while he was alive, but four were released after his death. He has sold over 17 million albums worldwide.

After 22 years, someone finally confessed to being involved in the killing of Tupac Shakur. Duane D. Davis confessed to giving a gun to his nephew and the primary suspect, Orlando Anderson. Davis also confessed that they were both in the car that pulled up next to Tupac's car and shot him. Although Davis refused to say who fired the shots that killed Tupac... this confession seems to confirm it was almost certainly him or his nephew. However, a similar drive-by shooting that happened around the same time period (but not quite the same year... Tupac's death was in 1996) remained unsolved.

Here's what bassist Bill Wyman had to say about Jones: "He formed the band. He chose the members. He named the band. He chose the music we played. He got us gigs. ... he was very influential, very important, and then slowly lost it - highly intelligent - and just kind of wasted it and blew it all away."

To sum up, Jones was a major contributor to the foundation and early success of the Rolling Stones. However, he was not close friends with his bandmates due to his unpleasant behavior, legal troubles, and substance abuse. He was fired from the band in 1968.

Despite the spelling, the name is actually pronounced "Air Heart" which is appropriate. Amelia Earhart was the first ever female airplane pilot. Her family strongly opposed the idea of her becoming an airplane pilot, but she was fascinated with airplanes ever since she saw a stunt pilot at a show when she was a child.

She grew up in a time where women didn't have many rights. They didn't even have the right to vote until she was an adult. So the idea of a woman flying an airplane was thought to be crazy. Earhart proved her critics wrong. In 1932, she became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1935, she became the first human, male or female, to fly from Hawaii to the United States.

In 1937, she attempted to become the first human to fly around the world. Her first attempt to do this failed because of problems with the airplane. Her second attempt ended worse. She and the plane disappeared and were never found. She disappeared in 1937 but was officially declared dead in 1939. Of course for all we know, she may have landed on an island somewhere and lived for some more years but even then it's safe to say she's dead by now. She'd have been 122 when this quiz was made. What's mysterious is how and when she died.

Virginia Rappe was an actress who appeared in silent films in the 1910s. However, she got most of the fame that she would ever achieve by dying.

In 1921, Rappe attended a party hosted by an actor named Fatty Arbuckle. At the party, Rappe died. How she died is unknown.

Answer: Bob Crane

Bob Crane was a famous actor in the 1970s, best known for playing the lead and title character in "Hogan's Heroes". He also had his own show called "The Bob Crane Show".

In June 1978, he was found murdered in his apartment. Neither the murderer nor the murder weapon were ever found. Many people believe that his killer was his former friend John Carpenter. Carpenter was tried for the murder but acquitted in 1994 because of insufficient evidence. Carpenter insisted he was innocent for his entire life, and he died in 1998 so he never had to experience justice if he did it.
