Answer: In an awning

The owner of the Square Deal Swap Shop comes out and opens the awning and they fall out of it. The shopkeeper is played by Max Davidson. This was his only Stooge short.

Answer: Four cents

They ran in to City Hall, where the government was hiring census takers, in order to escape the policeman who was chasing them for trashing the Square Deal Swap Shop. "Where are we going to get the census?", Larry asks. Moe says "I'll take care of that", and hits both Curly and Larry over the head.

3. Moe knocks on the door of a house and says, "Good morning sir, I'm the census taker. Are you married or __________?"

Answer: happy

The man gets ready to say something, but his wife calls out "Henry!". He ducks and the plate she throws hits Moe in the head, knocking him down the front steps. He sits up, shakes it off and says, "Married".

Moe is throwing the punch at Curly, who ducks. The woman gets doused with the punch and her dress puckers up because of the alum which Curly had mistakenly put in. Moe then throws the bowl, which lands on Curly's head.

When the Stooges come out of the woman's house, they're wondering where everyone is. Curly says maybe it's the fourth of July. Moe says, "The fourth of July in October?".

Larry says quarterback, Moe says halfback and Curly shows his hump (he has his helmut under his jersey) and says hunchback.

The Stooges figure if they get the football, they'll be able to get the players' attention and can ask their census questions. Curly gets the ball and starts running down the field with all of the players in hot pursuit. Larry is pulling Moe on the ice cream cart while Moe throws ice cream at the pursuing players.

The short ends with the Stooges being chased by the players as they run out of the stadium and down the street.
