Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Best known for his work in the world of music, he was the voice behind Shaggy in the animated series "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" and "The All New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show". Who is it?

Answer: Casey Kasem

The long time host of "American Top 40", a weekly radio show, Kasem has a long list of voice over credits for animated series. In addition to Shaggy, he also did the voice for Robin in several "Batman and Robin" and "Superfriends" cartoons, plus several voices for "The Transformers" animated series.

A member of the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame, Kasem was named co-host of the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon in 1981.
2. What animated comedian was the voice behind the literally animated Blue Genie in the 1992 movie "Aladdin"?

Answer: Robin Williams

Although he had previously been a regular performer on "The Richard Pryor Show" and "Laugh-In", Williams first caught the attention of American television viewers with a guest appearance as Mork from Ork on "Happy Days" in 1978. What was intended to be a one time appearance led to a spin-off series, "Mork and Mindy", which also starred Pam Dawber.
3. What supporting star of a 1990's sitcom was the voice behind the title character of the animated series "Duckman"?

Answer: Jason Alexander

Best known as George on the 1990-1998 sitcom "Seinfeld", Alexander has also played supporting roles in movies like 1990's "Pretty Woman" and 2001's "Shallow Hal". Along with his work on "Duckman", Jason also provided the voice for Hugo in 1996's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", as well as Poseidon in the Disney series "Hercules".
4. An acclaimed actor, producer, and director, this star provided the voice of Grundle King in the 1986 feature film "My Little Pony: The Movie". He was also a guest voice on the series "The Simpsons". Which star is it?

Answer: Danny Devito

Devito was the voice behind Herbert Powell, the long lost half brother of Homer Simpson, on "The Simpsons" in 1991, and again in 1992. Danny was also the voice of Whiskers in the 1993 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, "Last Action Hero".
5. What former "Saturday Night Live" star was the voice of Penelope on the series "Garfield and Friends"?

Answer: Victoria Jackson

Jackson was also the voice of Communication Elf in the 1997 animated television movie "Santa vs. the Snowman" and 2002's "Santa vs. the Snowman 3D". Before she was selected for the cast of "Saturday Night Live" in 1986, Victoria was a stand up comic with a quirky act that included reading poetry while standing on her head. Victoria was also part of the cast for the unsuccessful 1984 television pilot "W*A*L*T*E*R", based on the Walter "Radar" O'Reilly character from the hit sitcom "M*A*S*H".
6. Which comic was the voice of Mr. Peabody on the 1993 animated series "Problem Child", but is best known as Iago the Parrot in both the movie and television versions of "Aladdin"?

7. What 1960's sitcom star provided the voice for the title character in the 1983-1985 series "Inspector Gadget"?

Answer: Don Adams

Adams is best remembered as Maxwell Smart on the 1965-1970 sitcom "Get Smart". Don's voice was made familiar to more than one generation of kids, first as the voice of Tennessee Tuxedo in the 1960's, then as Inspector Gadget in the 1980's. He made a third attempt at animated success as Gadget Boy in the short lived 1995 series "Gadget Boy and Heather", but kids weren't interested in a revamped version of Inspector Gadget.
8. Which actress was the voice behind Batgirl in the 1992-1995 series "Batman: The Animated Series"?

Answer: Melissa Gilbert

Melissa has a long list of television movies to her credit, such as 1997's "Seduction in a Small Town" and 1999's "Switched at Birth". To many, Melissa will forever be remembered as Laura Ingalls in the 1974-1983 series "Little House on the Prairie".
9. This actress shot to fame in the late 1990's, shortly before providing the voice of the main Gwendy Doll in the 1998 movie "Small Soldiers". What actress is it?

Answer: Sarah Michelle Gellar

Sarah became a household name with her success as Buffy in the television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", but she was already a favorite of soap opera fans who knew her as Kendall Hart on "All My Children" from 1993-1995. Sarah was also the voice of Andromeda in the 1998-1999 animated series "Hercules".
10. What television personality was credited as Earl Hofert when he provided the voice of a Motley Crue roadie in 1996's "Beavis and Butt-head Do America"?

Answer: David Letterman

The long time comedian and talk show host was also credited as Earl Hofert in 1994's "Cabin Boy". Letterman, always uncomfortable with guest appearances and cameos, also appeared as himself in 1999's "Man on the Moon" and 1997's "Private Parts". One of David's earliest acting credits was as Ellsworth, a con artist disguising himself as a motivational speaker on an episode of "Mork and Mindy" in 1979.
