Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who ended Honkey Tonk Man's record long Intercontinental Championship reign at the 1988 "SummerSlam"?

Answer: Ultimate Warrior

Ultimate Warrior claimed the Intercontinental Championship from Honkey Tonk Man in 31 seconds. He won the match after a press slam and the Warrior Splash.
2. At the 1990 "SummerSlam", Ultimate Warrior defended the WWF Championship against Rick Rude. What was the stipulation for this match?

Answer: Steel Cage Match

Ultimate Warrior defeated Rude to retain the WWF Championship. Rick Rude's manager, Bobby Heenan, got involved throughout the match and he tried to pull Rude out of the cage. Warrior won after doing a press slam and climbing out of the cage.
3. Where did the 1992 "SummerSlam" take place?

Answer: Wembley Stadium

"SummerSlam" 1992 was the first "SummerSlam" event to take place outside of the United States. 80,355 fans were at the event, which was a "SummerSlam" record.
4. Who did The Undertaker face at "SummerSlam" 1994?

Answer: The Undertaker

Two Undertakers faced off in the main event of "SummerSlam" 1994. The real Undertaker was accompanied by Paul Bearer, and the fake Undertaker was accompanied by Ted DiBiase. This was the first time the Undertaker was seen since losing a Casket Match to Yokozuna and the 1994 "Royal Rumble". The real Undertaker defeated the fake Undertaker after three Tombstone Piledrivers.
5. What was the stipulation for the Intercontinental Championship Match between Shawn Michaels and Razon Ramon at the 1995 "SummerSlam"?

Answer: Ladder Match

This was a rematch of the classic Ladder Match at "WrestleMania X". Shawn Michaels retained the Intercontinental Championship after over 25 minutes.
6. Who was the referee for the WWF Championship Match between Bret Hart and The Undertaker at "SummerSlam" 1997?

Answer: Shawn Michaels

Bret Hart retained the WWF Championship after Shawn Michaels accidentally hit The Undertaker with a steel chair. If Michaels was biased against Hart, he would have been fired. If Hart lost, he would never be able to wrestle in the United States again.
7. Who was Mankind's partner in his WWF Tag Team Championship Match against the New Age Outlaws at "SummerSlam" 1998?

Answer: Nobody

Mankind and Kane were the WWF Tag Team Champions at the time, but Kane abandoned Mankind for this match. The match was also No Disqualification, so both of the New Age Outlaws could be in the ring at the same time. The New Age Outlaws won the match, and then threw Mankind into a dumpster at ringside. Kane came through the lid of the dumpster, then hit Mankind with a sledgehammer.
8. How did Kurt Angle beat Stone Cold Steve Austin in the WWF Championship Match at "SummerSlam" 2001?

Answer: Disqualification

Since Kurt Angle won by Disqualification, he did not win the WWF Championship. Angle had Austin in the Ankle Lock, but a WCW came into the ring and disqualified Stone Cold for knocking out the referee earlier.
9. Who was the last person eliminated in the Elimination Chamber Match at "SummerSlam" 2003?

Answer: Goldberg

Goldberg was last eliminated by Triple H after Triple H hit Goldberg with a sledgehammer while Goldberg was trying to execute a spear. After the match, Triple H handcuffed Goldberg to the chamber, and continued to hit him with the sledgehammer.
10. Who returned at the end of "SummerSlam" 2009 and attacked CM Punk?

Answer: The Undertaker

CM Punk had just defeated Jeff Hardy in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The lights went out after the match, then Undertaker appeared and chokeslammed Punk. This was the first time The Undertaker had been seen since "WrestleMania XXV".
