"AIO" Episode: "Bethany's Flood" Quiz

Answer: Her mother says Bethany can have a new pet if she does her homework.

Bethany and her family are the caretakers of the Timothy center, a tourist attraction on Tom Riley's farm. During this particular day, Bethany's mother is trying to finish giving her and her sister their home school homework. Bethany is bored trying to learn about Christopher Columbus while her sister Audbury has a report on Shakespeare and the Declaration of Independence. Meanwhile their dad is having trouble because the bathroom is flooding and it is running all over the floor.

He tries to go find a wet dry mat from Tom's shed.

While he is complaining about the sewer line also being backed up, Bethany's Mom says to blame it on "El Nino". Bethany asks her mom if she can have a pet, and her mom says no.

Answer: Connie

Connie is telling Bible stories to the kids at the chapel during the rainstorm. Bethany's Mom suggests she go and join for the hour, and Bethany reluctantly does. When Bethany becomes apart of the story, Connie becomes the narrator of all the "Genesis revised" editions in Bethany's imagination.

Answer: An Ark-Vac

Bethany is crying for help when she is left with the shower running and water is going everywhere. Noah and his family show up to rescue her. Noah tells her to quickly get into the "Ark-Vac". When Bethany asks what it is, Noah says, "It's this big boat!". Bethany questions Noah that it is supposed to be an ark. Noah replies, "Ark, Vac, same thing." He tells Bethany to climb aboard.

Answer: El Nino

Noah tells Bethany God is judging the world because of El Nino, a crazy Californian bandit. El Nino left the shower running while he was trying to rob a stagecoach. Then he got into his pinto and rode to Santa and Nito to join Christopher Columbo. According to Noah, God wasn't too happy. So God let the bathtub overflow and the rains come causing the huge flood! Noah's son Hamlet says, "Typical Californians. I hope they fall right off into the ocean."

Answer: He has important documents to sign.

Hamlet is quoting Shakespeare's plays, while Sam is telling jokes and Jefferson is worried about making it to America in time. Jefferson tells Bethany he really needs to get to Philadelphia because he has important documents to sign, such as the Declaration of Independence.

Answer: Sam accidentally pushes the emergency exit button.

Noah's sons are trying to show Bethany around the boat, when Sam and his brothers start arguing about the red button. Sam believes it is the door to show Bethany where the cats and dogs are. He pushes the button against Hamlet's warning and the emergency exit door opens. Sam falls out and is washed away in the flood. "Alas Poor Sam, I knew him Jefferson.," Hamlet says in regret. Jefferson says, "So did I, dear brother."

Answer: Because Bethany's mom said she couldn't, and Bethany needs to trust her mom and obey.

In the beginning of the episode Bethany had wanted a dog or a cat, but her mother said no. Bethany gets really excited when she sees "lots and lots and lots of dogs and cats after their kind", on Noah's boat. She asks Mrs. Noah if she can keep one but Mrs. Noah tells her no.

When Bethany asks why, Mrs. Noah responds, "Because your mother said so. You need to trust her and obey." Noah agrees and tells Bethany, he had to trust God and obey too when he built the boat.

Answer: crazy Californians

While Noah is trying to give orders to save the boat from an iceberg, Noah and his sons realize that the pirates that are attacking them are actually crazy Californians being led by Christopher Columbo and El Nino. They also have Sam! El Nino threatens to make Sam walk the plank and then blast them to Davy Jones. Things seem really hopeless!

While the boat is sinking, Noah doesn't understand why God would tell them to build this boat, bring them out into the flood, and allow so many bad things to happen. Bethany tells Noah he doesn't have to understand what is going on, he just needs to trust God and obey. She gathers everyone together and tells them they need to pray. They all agree and pray with her.

Answer: a rainbow

Bethany fell asleep during the story hour and in her dreams got the story of Noah mixed up with what was going on at her house earlier. Bethany tells her mom that she learned to trust and obey God because Noah had to trust and obey God when everything was hopeless.

While Bethany is telling her mom what an adventure she had, they walk outside and see a rainbow! Her mom says she's never heard the story of Noah quite like Bethany's version. The story teller tells Bethany's Mom, "I guess you can never tell what kids are hearing these days.". Bethany's Mom says, "When it comes to Bethany, never." They both laugh while Bethany goes outside to play.
