Answer: Penguin

Chilly Willy was created in 1953 by Paul Smith, who is more famous for his work with Woody the Woodpecker. Chilly Willy is a small penguin whose main rival is a dog named Smedley whose owner is the Colonel Pot Shot. Chilly Willy is friends with a polar bear named Maxie and Gooney, an albatross. Although he lives in Alaska, penguins normally only live in the Southern Hemisphere.

Answer: Northern Exposure

"Northern Exposure" stars Rob Morrow as Dr. Joel Fleischman from New York City. Dr. Fleischman is forced to practice medicine in the small town of Cicely, Alaska because the state of Alaska helped put him through medical school. While in Cicely, he struggles to adapt to the small town life. Peg Phillips plays Ruth-Anne Miller, the owner of the general store. Buck is forced to be a sled dog in Alaska and the Yukon Territory of Canada. Buck is forced to endure starvation, mistreatment and beatings at the hands of his inexperienced new owners.

During the darkness, a vampire coven attacks the residents and massive blizzard hits Barrow.

William Riker is the First Officer of the Enterprise in "Next Generation". He is a courageous and loyal member of the crew and passes up several opportunities to command his own ship. As a young boy in Alaska, Riker's mother died and he was raised by his father from who he is estranged. He is sometimes called Number One, since he is the First Officer on the ship.

The book is called "Gentle Ben" which is about a lonely teenager named Mark who befriends the equally lonely bear Ben. Ben is attacked by Fog Benson, the local drunk, and fights back. This gives the impression that Ben is a violent bear and not the gentle bear everyone thought. He is sent away to an island where he regains his gentle reputation after saving a rich businessman.

Frostbite is portrayed as a tough-as-nails military man who once worked on the Alaskan Pipeline and loves freezing temperatures. He is an expert in weaponry and anything physically demanding but he is most well known for his driving skills. He is the driver of G.I. Joe's Snow Cat.

His real name is Farley Seward which sounds like Seward's Folly, a name given to Alaska shortly after it was purchased from Russia by the U.S. The purchase of Alaska was considered a mistake until valuable gold and oil were discovered.

Thomas Kalmaku is originally from Alaska but in the comics, he lives in California where he works as a mechanic for Ferris Aircraft. Hal Jordan, a.k.a. the Green Lantern, is a pilot for Ferris Aircraft. Thomas is traditionally given the role as the Green Lantern's close friend and confidant and one of very few people who knows Hal Jordan is the Green Lantern.

In early comics, Thomas was nicknamed Pieface but this was dropped for being racial insensitive.

However, the Simpsons do escape and flee to Alaska to avoid capture by the EPA and to figure out a way to help Springfield.

While in Alaska, Homer meets an elderly Medicine Woman who gives him an epiphany and an idea on how to save the town.
10. Which Marvel Comics character was once a mailman in North Pole, Alaska before becoming possessed by the mutant Xorn?

Answer: Omega

Omega is part of the "New Avengers" series. He was born Michael Pointer and was a mailman in a quiet part of Alaska. However unbeknownst to him, Pointer was a mutant who could absorb other mutants. He absorbed Xorn and became known as the Collective, an evil mutant who killed thousands of people. Once Pointer became free of Xorn he became Omega and joined the Omega Flight as punishment for his crimes as the Collective. Omega still has the power to absorb other mutants and is an ability Omega struggles to control and us to his benefit.
