Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Row herd coat stir

Answer: Roller Coaster

Roller coasters are very popular amusement park rides that can be found in most modern amusement parks. The history of roller coasters can be traced as far back as the 1400's in Russia, where they would build wooden hills packed with snow that they would spray with water to freeze. People rode these with guides on a two foot sled.

The first person to patent a roller coaster was LaMarcus Adna Thompson in 1885.
2. Till toe world

Answer: Tilt O Whirl

The Tilt-A-Whirl is one of the best known rides and can be found at pretty much any fair or amusement park. This ride is commonly associated with feelings of nausea. Bret M. Huggard and Richard L. Kautz are the physicists that came up with the equation that estimates the Tilt-A-Whirl's path of motion.
3. Hun Ted hows

Answer: Haunted House

Many, but not all, amusement parks have haunted houses in them. For example, Disney World in Orlando, FL and many Disneyland parks throughout the world have a ride called "The Haunted Mansion". Also, the amusement park Cedar Point creates a haunted Halloween theme throughout the park called "HalloWeekends". This runs Friday-Sunday from September 17th until October 31st every year.
4. Ton null above

Answer: Tunnel Of Love

This particular ride is typically for couples that are at the fair or amusement park together. It takes the riders, usually by boat, through a series of dark tunnels. This ride is often seen in older movies, such as Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train". Personally, I have never seen this ride in my life.
5. Gull cards

Answer: Go Karts

Go-Karts can be found at most fairs and amusement parks. Go-Karts vary greatly in speed, with some being able to reach 160 mph. However, for the purposes of an amusement park, Go-Karts are usually limited to 15 mph.
6. Car house sale

Answer: Carousel

The carousel is one of the more traditional amusement park rides. It simply rotates on a circular platform that has seat for riders, which sometimes go up and down. Modern American carousel seats are generally horses, but there are many variations, like mythological creatures or pigs for example.

The earliest known depiction of a carousel is from the Byzantine Empire and dates back to 500 A.D.
7. Fair hubs we all

Answer: Ferris Wheel

The ferris wheel is another one of the classic amusement park rides. It is basically a wheel held vertically by a central mechanism that suspends carts, or gondolas, from it while spinning. George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr. designed and built the first original ferris wheel for the World's Exposition in Chicago in 1893.
8. What her sly

Answer: Water Slide

Water slides can be found in many amusement parks as well, but they are usually associated with warmer weather. There are many different types of water slides, they can vary in size, speed, riding style, and/or other factors. The modern water slide was invented by Herbert Sellner.
9. Bomb pour karst

Answer: Bumper Cars

Bumper cars are a flat ride that consists of several small cars that are powered by electricity through the floor or ceiling, or both. There are several other names for bumper cars, such as dodgem cars or just dodgems. A General Electric employee named Victor Levand was the inventor of bumper cars.
10. Wing taws

Answer: Ring Toss

The ring toss game, in my experience, usually consists of some kind of longneck glass bottles which you throw rings at in an attempt to catch a ring on the neck of a bottle. Usually, the rings that the person working at the booth gives you are barely bigger than the neck of the bottle, making this game extremely difficult to win and almost requiring a perfect toss to do so.
