Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Go strip

Answer: Ghost Ship

"Ghost Ship" was released in 2002, and was directed by Steve Beck. The movie was about a luxury liner named the Antonia Graza, which went missing in 1962. Prior to the ship going missing, the guests and crew were murdered; some were poisoned and the rest were killed when the murderer set forth the cable that held the anchor in place; those victims were cut in half. One little girl who was not murdered during the spree managed to run away, only to be captured by the murderer and his cronies; they hung her in her state room.

In 2002, a search plane pilot shows a salvage crew a picture of an old luxury liner, and the salvage crew wants the ship. The crew, along with the pilot, go to the spot where the ship was last seen by the pilot and board her, only to find that the ship is haunted by the little girl, who is intent on saving everyone from the murderer.

The captain of the salvage crew discovers who the killer is, but before he can tell anyone, he is killed. At the end of the movie, it is found out that the killer is the search plane pilot who is employed by Satan and who must have a quota of souls.

Answer: Mighty Joe Young

"Mighty Joe Young" was released in 1949, and was directed by Ernest B. Schoedsack. It was about a little girl named Jill who trades a flashlight for a baby gorilla, whom she names Joe. Years later, Jill is coerced into bringing him to America as part of a show.

However, when three drunks make the gorilla go ballistic, he is branded as 'dangerous,' and the police have orders to shoot him. The girl, the love of Joe's life, and her friend, Gregg, help Joe to escape. Along the way to the boat docks, and with the police hot on their trails, the trio stops in front of an orphanage that is engulfed in flames.

The only one who can save the little girl trapped on the roof is Joe, but as he is coming a tree, he falls. It is assumed that he is dead, that is until the very end when we see pictures of Joe, Jill, and Gregg back in Africa.

This movie starred Terry Moore, Ben Johnson, Lora Lee Michel, Robert Armstrong, and Regis Toomey. The remake of "Mighty Joe Young" was released in 1998, and was directed by Ron Underwood.

It was about Dr. Ruth Young, a primatologist, who is out to save the Mountain Gorillas of the Virungas, and lives on the mountain with her daughter, Jill. Dr. Young notices a baby gorilla who is extremely large for his age and realizes that it is the baby she had named Joe. One night, Dr. Young is awakened by her porters and told of poachers on the mountain. She tells Jill to stay in the cabin, but Jill leaves when she knows her mother is far enough away. When Jill arrives, she sees her mother fighting with a man who is holding many keyrings and sees the man shoot her mother. As Dr. Young lay dying, Jill goes to her mother, who makes Jill promise that she will protect Joe. Twenty years later, an animal wrangler named Gregg, who works a California Wildlife refuge, sees Joe rambling through the mountain. When poachers appear, Gregg convinces Jill that for Joe's safety he must be brought to California to live in the refuge. After some thought, Jill goes along with the plan. However, things go awry when her mother's murderer goes to California and harasses Joe. With orders to be killed hanging over Joe's head, Jill and Gregg remove him from the refuge and come upon an amusement park. When her mother's murderer follows them to the park, havoc ensues and ends with the ferris wheel engulfed in flames. A little boy is stuck in one of the cars and only Joe can rescue him. As Joe is at the top of the wheel, the ride starts to collapse and both Joe and the little boy fall to the ground. The little boy is unhurt, but all does not look well for Joe. Finally, after several moments of anxiety, Joe wakes up. At the end of the movie, we see Joe, Jill, and Gregg in the Virungas opening the new Joe Young Wildlife Park.
