Answer: Mighty Joe Thunder

Mighty Joe Thunder was big but that was where it just about ended. First off he was about as old or older than Albano, second he wore a fur coat and he had a 1950's greaser haircut with chops and all. This guy had to have been someone's brother or brother in law or cousin who needed a few quick paydays. Awful!
6. In June 1982, at Madison Square Garden WWF Fans witnessed an epic match between WWF Champion Bob Backlund and Jimmy Snuka in a Steel Cage. What happened to Snuka that enabled Backlund to get the win?

This match still remains one of the finest matches of all time as both Backlund and the challenger Snuka gave it all they had. In the end Jimmy scaled the cage and attempted a "Superfly Leap" which surely would have won him the match. Backlund was able to move out of the way and Snuka hit the mat hard.

As Jimmy writhed in pain Backlund was able to crawl out the door and win the match. While Snuka may have missed on this night just sixteen months later in the very same arena he did not miss when The Magnificent Muraco became the unlucky recipient of the most famous of all "Superfly Leaps".

By the years end Rose had given both Bob Backlund and Pedro Morales quite a few tough contests.
