During the segment, Roddy Piper wanted to make Jimmy Snuka "feel at home". Once Jimmy Snuka accused Roddy Piper of insulting him, Piper smashed a coconut on Snuka's head. After that, Piper threw Snuka around and shoved a banana down Snuka's throat. Piper left the set through a back door escaping a furious Snuka.

Captain Lou Albano claimed responsibility for Cyndi Lauper's success a pop star. On the June 16, 1984 episode of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Championship Wrestling", Cyndi Lauper was a guest on "Piper's Pit" segment to refute Albano's claim.

The World Wrestling Entertainment held the "The Brawl to End It All" event on July 23, 1984. At this event, Wendi Richter, managed by Cyndi Lauper, defeated the Fabulous Moolah, managed by Captain Lou Albano, for the World Wrestling Entertainment's Women's Championship.

Bruno Sammartino appeared on a special "Piper's Pit" segment during a World Wrestling Entertainment event held at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on October 21, 1985. This "Piper's Pit" segment was shown on the November 5, 1985 episode of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Prime Time Wrestling".

The "Piper's Pit" segment was held in the middle of the ring. Roddy Piper insulted Bruno Sammartino until the legend became angry and stood up for himself. Piper hit Sammartino with a chair, ripped off shirt and beat him with microphone. Bruno Sammartino fought back and chased Roddy Piper from the ring.

George "the Animal" Steele then chased Bob Orton, Junior off of the set.

On the October 4 edition of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Saturday Night's Main Event", Roddy Piper struck "Adorable" Adrian Adonis with a crutch injuring Adonis' shoulder. Adonis returned to television on the November 29, 1986 episode of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Superstars of Wrestling" to attack Roddy Piper during the "Piper's Pit" segment. Roddy Piper and "Adorable" Adrian Adonis ended their feud with a Hair versus Hair Match at the World Wrestling Entertainment's 1987 "Wrestlemania III" event.

On the January 24, 1987 episode of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Superstars of Wrestling", a trophy presentation occurred during the "Piper's Pit" segment. World Wrestling Entertainment President Jack Tunney and Hulk Hogan presented André the Giant with a trophy for being the only undefeated man in World Wrestling Entertainment history. Once Hulk Hogan arrived on the "Piper's Pit" set for the presentation, André the Giant just walked away.

On the February 7, 1987 episode of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Superstars of Wrestling", Hulk Hogan was the guest on the "Piper's Pit" segment. Jesse "the Body" Ventura brought André the Giant and Bobby "the Brain" Heenan to the "Piper's Pit" set to confront Hulk Hogan. André the Giant challenged Hulk Hogan for a match at the World Wrestling Entertainment's 1987 "Wrestlemania III" event.

On the February 14, 1987 episode of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Superstars of Wrestling", Hulk Hogan was the guest on the "Piper's Pit" segment. Hulk Hogan accepted Andre the Giant's challenge for a match at the World Wrestling Entertainment's 1987 "Wrestlemania III" event.

At the World Wrestling Entertainment's 1989 "Wrestlemania V" event, Roddy Piper took off Brother Love's kilt to reveal his underwear during the "Piper's Pit" segment.
