WWF 'Raw' January 14, 2002 Trivia Quiz

Answer: Ric Flair

Flair came to the ring and talked about wrestling in Dallas in 1984, when he wrestled against Kerry Von Erich. Flair said that at the 'Royal Rumble' he was going to make history again when he defeated Vince McMahon. He said that McMahon humbled him in recent weeks, but that at the 'Royal Rumble' he was going to belittle Vince. Flair then said that he was making his and Vince's match at the 'Rumble' a Street Fight, with no disqualifications or countouts. Flair then called out Vince to fight him then, before the 'Rumble'.

Answer: Chris Jericho

As Flair was awaiting the arrival of Vince to the ring, Chris Jericho came out instead. Jericho said that at one time the Federation revolved around one man, the WWF Heavyweight Champion. Jericho said that since he was the Undisputed Champion, that meant that the whole world revolved around him.

He then said that Flair doesn't have what it takes anymore to become the Champion. Jericho then said that Flair and President Bush have something in common. He said that they were both powerful, both had accolades, and that like Bush, who choked on a pretzel on January 13, 2002, Flair would choke at the 'Royal Rumble'. Flair then hit a surprised Jericho, and then put Jericho in a 'Figure Four Leg Lock'.

Answer: Vince McMahon

As Flair had Jericho in the 'Figure Four Leg Lock', Vince came running to help Jericho. Vince hit Flair on the back of the head with a pipe, and after more abuse, Vince hit Flair in the stomach with the pipe. Way to go Vince!

Answer: Spike Dudley

Spike Dudley, accompanied by Tazz, faced off against Bubba Ray, who was accompanied by D-Von and Stacy Kiebler. Bubba had control of the match from the beginning, giving Spike 'Bubba Bombs' and suplexes. Then when Spike was fighting back, D-Von grabbed Spike's ankles, causing him to fall.

As Bubba set Spike up for the 'Wazzup', Stacy Kiebler jumped on the ring apron, causing a distraction. Tazz wasn't about to let Spike receive the 'Wazzup', and knocked D-Von onto the top rope. When Bubba went to the top rope to jump on Spike, who by this time was lying flat on the mat, Spike moved as Bubba came crashing down. Spike then pinned Bubba in a roll-up. Way to go Spike!

Answer: Billy and Chuck

The Hurricane and Tajiri, accompanied by Tori Wilson and Mighty Molly, faced off against Billy and Chuck. Before the match, Billy and Chuck paraded around the ring, saying they had the physique to be a superhero, not The Hurricane. They said that The Hurricane made them miss their double date with some hot chicks after 'Sunday Night Heat'.

When The Hurricane and Tajiri entered the ring, The Hurricane exclaimed, 'Holy tall tales, Tajiri! These two with hot chicks -- What's up with that! The only superhero you two have anything in common with is the Human Torch -- flame on'! When the match began, Billy and Chuck took control of the match, but the superhero and Tajiri fought back.

Unfortunately, Billy and Chuck won when Chuck gave Tajiri a kick to the face and pinned him for the win. Better luck next time Tajiri and Hurricane!

Answer: Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert

Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert were greeting fans at WWF New York. It was then announced that they were both going to be in the 'Royal Rumble'.

Answer: Jazz

Jackie faced off against Jazz to see who would be the Number One Contender for the WWF Women's Championship. Trish Stratus was special guest commentator for this match, and sat right next to Jerry 'The King' Lawler'. Unfortunately for Jackie, Jazz won when she gave Jackie a 'Fisherman's Suplex' for the win.

After the match, mad dog Jazz went to the commentators' table and started a fight with Trish. The lovely Trish and the rabid dog, Jazz, had to be separated. Did you notice that Jazz has leg problems? Whenever she was hit her legs would act like Booker T's.

This girl really needs to shape up or, better yet, ship out!

Answer: Kane

Kurt Angle faced off against Kane. Kane physically dominated Angle from the beginning, but when Angle put Kane in the 'Ankle Lock', everything went downhill for Kane. Kane lasted in the 'Ankle Lock' longer than anyone ever had, but it still wasn't enough. Kane then grabbed hold of Angle and was prepared to give him a 'Chokeslam', but Angle pulled the referee in front of him as a shield.

This didn't deter Kane, who just did a double 'Chokeslam' with one hand. Angle and the referee were thrown to the mat, with the referee landing on top of Angle. With the referee knocked down, Kane put Angle in a 'Ankle Lock' a few times, before reviving the referee. Angle then, once again, put Kane in the 'Ankle Lock', but this time Kane rolled out of it. Unfortunately for Kane, he was rolled into a pin situation, and Angle won when he held onto the ropes. Better luck next time Kane!

Answer: William Regal and Test

Edge and RVD faced off against William Regal and Test. As the match began, Test had control of the match and RVD. Unfortunately, Regal used brass knuckles once again, hitting RVD and knocking him out. Regal then used the brass knuckles on Edge, and pinned him for the win. Did you see RVD mess up? It wasn't hard to miss.

He kick Test, when it was obviously clear that he wasn't supposed to. Another thing, I really think RVD should wear Depends, because it's getting kind of gross.

Answer: Booker T

The Big Show faced off against Booker 'I Can't Wrestle' T. Before Show even got to the ring, Booker removed the padding from one of the middle turnbuckles. From the beginning of the match Show had control. It took for Booker to kick Show in the knees to knock the mighty man down. Booker then gave Show a so-called scissors kick, but was unable to pin the giant. Show then tossed Booker into the ring like a doll, and as he was about to slam into Booker, Booker moved out of the way. Show then rammed his head into the exposed turnbuckle, allowing Booker to pin him for the win. I guess they're trying to see if Booker has actually learned the moves of wrestling, because this was his second singles match in one week.

In reality, Vince should just toss Booker to the curb.

In my opinion, if someone goes on the 'Weakest Link' and says Thanksgiving is in October, then they don't deserve a WWF contract.

Answer: Michael Cole

After much bellyaching about all of the beer he had consumed, Austin then said that he was going to throw Triple H over the top rope at the 'Royal Rumble'.

Answer: The APA and Rikishi

Chris Jericho, Lance Storm, and Christian faced off against the APA and Rikishi. The APA and Rikishi had control of the match from the start, but Jericho made his team win when he gave Faarooq the 'Breakdown' for the win. Congratulation Jericho, Storm, and Christian. Better luck next time APA and Rikishi!

Answer: Triple H

Triple H came to the ring and told the crowd that he appreciated the respect that was given to him the night he returned. He then said that he was that damn good and that he was going to win the 'Royal Rumble', and go on to 'Wrestlemania' to face the Undisputed Champion. He said he could back up everything he said. Way to go Hunter!

Answer: Stone Cold Steve Austin

As Triple H was nearing the end of what he wanted to say, Austin came down to the ring and interrupted. Triple H blocked him from going to the last corner of the ring. The two stood face to face, and then they both started to hit each other. Austin tried to give Triple H the 'Stone Cold Stunner', but Triple H pushed him towards the rope.

Then Triple H tried to give Austin the 'Pedigree', but Austin reversed it into a spinebuster.

Answer: The Undertaker

As Triple H and Austin were fighting, Taker came out from under the ring and hit both men on their back with a steel chair. Taker was the only one standing in his yard as 'Raw' went off the air.
