Remus Lupin is the werewolf who is the best fried of James Potter and Sirius Black. He becomes the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in Harry's third year at Hogwarts. Harry and Lupin become good friends. They do have somewhat of a falling out in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", but they resolve this. Harry becomes godfather to Remus's son Teddy. Remus dies in the battle of Hogwarts which greatly saddens Harry.

Throughout the books we struggle to decide which side Snape is really on. In "Harry Potter in the Deathly Hallows" we find that he was on Dumbledore's side and had always harbored some affection for Harry, but because of Voldermort was never able to show it. How sad that he had to die before Harry killed Voldermort and they never really got to know each other as friends.
