Had Neville's family been attacked and Neville been chosen, Neville would have been the chosen one. Severus Snape overheard the start of this prophecy.

Answer: Minerva McGonagall

While both Minerva McGonagall and Rubeus Hagrid were hit by stunners ordered by Dolores Umbridge, Rubeus Hagrid's half-giant heritage protected him. Minerva McGonagall had no such protection and so needed to go to Saint Mungo's.

Severus Snape achieved his life's ambition when he was given the job of Defense against the Dark Arts. Remus Lupin was the teacher in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", Dolores Umbridge in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", and Gilderoy Lockhart in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"

After Albus Dumbledore caught a slowly lethal curse, he instructed Severus Snape to kill him to keep Lord Voldemort's loyalty. As a reward, Lord Voldemort made Snape the headmaster. In the movies, which turned the book into two parts, this happened in Part II.

Wilkie Twycross, a Ministry official, came to Hogwarts to help in Apparition. Since he gave preferential treatment to his capable students but not so good treatment to weak students, people gave him nicknames such as "Dogbreath" and "Dungbomb".
