Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Burglar, scoundrel, robber, thief and criminal, this Order member was one of the Watchers until he went AWOL. When Dumbledore died he auctioned off all of the valuables in Grimmauld Place, and was responsible for the Locket Horcrux falling into the wrong hands. Who is this Order member that everyone calls a scumbag?

Answer: Mundungus

Mundungus is a scumbag and the Order has to keep their eyes on him at all times. In 1995, while Harry was on summer break, Mundungus abandoned his post and went AWOL to Knockturn Alley to buy stolen cauldrons. Arabella, who was shopping for cat food, followed Harry once her cat Mr. Tibbles told her that Mundungus had abandoned his post.

After Harry defeated the Dementors and saved his cousin, Arabella came up to him and was forced to blow her cover, telling Harry she was a squib and was one of the Watchers.

She also told Harry that Mundungus went AWOL and Dumbledore had to be informed immediately. When Mundungus got back, she attacked him with her shopping bag and her purse for deserting his post, and they got into a shouting match. Mundungus went back to Grimmauld Place, but the Order was not happy to see him as they were mad at him for deserting his post. Days later, when Harry was cleaning the drawing room, Mundungus came to the door and rang the doorbell, and tried to use Grimmauld Place as a stash house. Molly would have none of this, and Mrs. Black and Molly shouted at him for bringing his loot inside.

While cleaning the cupboards, Harry pulled out the Locket Horcrux and, unable to open it, he tossed it in the trash. Mundungus fished it out and that night and after Sirius died he looted Grimmauld Place. Harry caught him red handed but he escaped before Harry could question him. During "Order of the Phoenix", Mundungus sold the Locket to Umbridge, which is why she became evil during the events of that book. Mundungus was later arrested in "Half Blood Prince" for impersonating an Inferi and sentenced to a year in Azkaban. During the Battle of the Seven Potters they were attacked by Death Eaters, and Mundungus escaped when Voldemort killed Mad Eye; it took almost a month for Harry to track him down. Mundungus was finally tracked down (and with some persuading from Kreacher) he finally told Harry he gave the Locket to Umbridge. What happened to him after that is unknown.
2. This Order member has a habit of changing their appearance. They prefer being addressed by their last name rather than their first name. Who is this?

Answer: Nymphadora Tonks

It it indeed Tonks herself, who has a habit of changing her appearance and is completely clumsy. Although most people call her Nymphadora or Dora for short, she does not like that, and likes being called by her last name. Tonks is a metamorph, which means she can change her appearance at will by changing her expression. Towards the end of the war in "Deathly Hallows" she married Remus and they had Teddy. Tonks went to Hogwarts against her mother's suggestion for the battle, because she did not want to be separated from her husband.

She faced off against Bellatrix and was killed. She never left Remus' side and they died like heroes.
3. This couple met during the Triwizard Tournament in "Goblet of Fire", in which one of them was a competitor. When the tournament ended, both of them went to work at Gringotts and started dating. Their wedding was the event of the day, but it got crashed by the Death Eaters forcing everyone to flee. Who is this couple?

Answer: Bill and Fleur

Bill and Fleur make an excellent couple who managed to find love in the mist of a war on Wizard World. Bill and Fleur met during the Triwizard Tournament, and started dating before the Third Task. When Voldemort returned, Dumbledore conscripted them into the Order. With duties being done for the Order, Bill and Fleur each applied for jobs at Gringotts to pay for their citizenship and to teach Fleur English.

In 1996 Bill proposed to Fleur and she moved to the Burrow against the wishes of Molly, Ginny, and Hermione (because her veela powers were causing negative effects on the women of the Weasley clan). Ginny did not like her, and called her a cow and phlegm behind her back, but that all changed the night Dumbledore died and Bill got maimed by Greyback. Fleur treated Bill's wounds, and Ginny had no choice but to accept Fleur as her sister in-law; they became close friends.

In "The Deathly Hallows" Bill and Fleur married at the Burrow in a civil ceremony, with the reception lasting for hours.

The happy party ended when a patronus came through the canopy and announced Scrimgeour was dead and the Ministry had fallen. Suddenly Death Eaters showed up and crashed the wedding, forcing everyone to flee. Bill and Fleur left the Burrow and went on their honeymoon before they set up house in Shell Cottage, where they now reside.
4. This Order member offered Grimmauld Place as headquarters. He was going to have Harry live with him but that all ended when he was killed. Who is this?

Answer: Sirius

It was sad when Sirius died in "Order of the Phoenix". It would not have happened if Harry had stayed away from the Ministry. Voldemort implanted a false memory into Harry to lure him and Neville to the Department of Mysteries. The plan worked and Harry went, but they ran into the Death Eaters.

When the Order found out, they headed straight for the Ministry, but Tonks and Sirius were forced to duel Bellatrix. Bellatrix stunned Tonks so she could torture her later, and dueled Sirius to the death on top of the dais. Bellatrix won the duel, and fired a Killing Curse at Sirius and blasted him through the Veil. With Sirius dead and the prophecy smashed; Harry ran after Bellatrix who tried to escape. Once they reached the Atrium Harry tried to use an Unforgivable Curse on Bellatrix but failed and Bellatrix tortured him. Bellatrix forced Harry to hand the prophecy over, but Harry told her it was smashed and that Voldemort was on his way. Bellatrix pleaded with her master, and Harry told her to give up and told her Voldemort could not hear her.

Then suddenly Voldemort himself apparated into the Ministry. Harry dueled Voldemort until Dumbledore took over the duel. Voldemort lost and got away with Bellatrix, but not before he was spotted by 20 aurors and Fudge himself. Fudge then admitted that Harry and Dumbledore were right and the Second Wizarding War had begun, and Fudge was out of the job.
5. These two jokers were in both Dumbledore's Army and the Order. In their final year they made a daring escape from Hogwarts. Who are these well known jokers?

Answer: Weasley twins

The Weasley twins were in their final year at Hogwarts when they escaped in "The Order of the Phoenix". Umbridge locked up their brooms, and shouted racist insults at them under her breath. The twins then rebelled and placed their jokes all over the castle, and had Lee Jordan throw nifflers into Umbridge's office. On the day of the escape they set off all their fireworks, which made Umbridge mad. Umbridge tried to curse them but failed.

The twins dropped out, summoned their brooms, and flew off into the night. That summer they founded Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, and supplied Harry and the Order from their back room with what they needed.

The shop was forced to close in the summer of '97 because of the war. The Twins started sending their joke items through the mail and joined the Order full time. During the Battle of the Seven Potters George had his ear blown off by Snape, who was aiming for one of the Death Eaters following them. Fred would later be killed during the Battle of Hogwarts when a stray curse blew up the wall he was standing next to crushing him. George never got over Fred's death, and had Ron work for him upon his retirement as a hit wizard.
6. This Order member was there from the beginning, and was the one who dropped Harry off in the Muggle World and picked him up when he turned 11. Who is this loyal member of the Order?

Answer: Hagrid

Hagrid was the one who brought Harry to his aunt and uncle's house the night Voldemort murdered the Potters. Ten years later, in "The Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone", Hagrid picked Harry up to take him shopping on his birthday, and gave Dudley a tail on the way out. Hagrid picked Harry up again in '97 to be taken to Tonk's house, but they were ambushed and the bike crashed; Hedwig was also killed. During Harry's final duel Hagrid brought him out, but Harry was not dead yet, only unconscious. Once they got to the castle Harry showed everyone he was alive, and had Neville decapitate Nagini. Harry then dueled Voldemort finished him off for good.
7. This Order member served as the cook for the organization, but was sometimes overprotective. She was against telling Harry anything, and did not want the children to know, thinking they were under age. Her greatest victory was defeating Bellatrix. Who is this Order member who was with Harry from the beginning?

Answer: Molly

Good old Molly; where would the Order be without her? Molly has served as one of Harry's protectors since the beginning. Harry met Molly on Day 1 at King's Cross; this was also the day Harry would meet his future wife Ginny Weasley. Harry also met his partner Ron, The twins, and Percy. Molly is overprotective of both Harry and her family.

This is because in '81, a month before Voldemort killed the Potters, Bellatrix, Rudolphus, Travers, Mulciber and Dolohov killed her brothers, and the Death Eaters were sent to prison. Molly did not want to see any more deaths, so she stayed out of the Order, but agreed to protect Harry.

When Voldemort came back in "Goblet of Fire", and during the time Harry was in the hospital, Dumbledore activated the Order and asked Molly to join; she accepted this time. Molly cooked their food, cleaned up headquarters, and organized the meetings.

She banned smoking inside the house and the dinning room. Mundungus did not like this and tried to go over her head by bringing in his loot. Molly did not like this, and she and Mrs. Black had a shouting match at Mundungus telling him that Grimmauld Place was not stash house. Molly took part in the Battle of Hogwarts where she defeated Bellatrix once and for all.
8. This Order member, who was with the organization since the beginning, was Dumbledore's pick when Lockhart lost his memory. He taught Harry everything he needed to know and was there with him until the end. Sadly he was killed defending Harry in the final battle. Who is this loyal Order member?

Answer: Remus

Good old Remus, who we first met in "The Prisoner of Azkaban"; without him Harry would not have gotten to where he is today. Remus taught Harry everything he needed to know, as a last promise to James his best friend. Remus would not let lycanthropy stand in his way, so he founded The Marauders and made friends with Sirius, James, and Peter Pettigrew. During the last days of the First Wizarding War the Marauders swore an oath to protect Harry and to teach him the skills he needed to defeat Voldemort. Wormtail would break this oath when he betrayed them and got Lily and James killed, then framed Sirius and got him incarcerated. Twelve years later, the Marauders met once again in their old hideout the Shrieking Shack, and confronted Wormtail, demanding an explanation. Right when they were about to hand Wormtail over to the authorities, Remus underwent the change and Wormtail escaped. Remus was forced to go into hiding for a year, and had to resign his post to Mad Eye. One year later Voldemort returned, and Remus and Sirius contacted the Watchers, along with the rest of the Order members, to assemble at Grimmauld Place for instructions. Remus was reunited with Harry in "The Order of the Phoenix", and he introduced him to Tonks. That summer the Order had massive casualties in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, and Sirius was killed.

When Dumbledore and Scrimgeour ordered security tightened, Scrimgeour ignored Dumbledore's advice and kept Fudge's cabinet. This upset Remus because, with Umbridge still at the Ministry, they targeted him and Tonks by making it a crime for werewolves and metamorphs to be in public. There was only one werewolf they should be targeting, and that was Greyback. During the Battle of the Astronomy Tower in "Half-Blood Prince", Remus led the troops as they tried to drive the Death Eaters out. He and Tonks narrowly escaped from Rowle who was firing off jinxes all over the place. During the fighting Dumbledore was killed, and the Order lost their leader. While the Order mourned, Tonks approached Remus and said that she loved him, but Remus did not have the courage to accept. Finally, with the support of the Order and with Harry's advice, Remus proposed to Tonks and they got married later that year. During the Battle of the Seven Potters in "The Deathly Hallows", Remus and Tonks once again protected Harry, but they suffered casualties in the process. Mad Eye was killed and so was Hedwig; George escaped with having his ear cut off. Remus confronted Harry thinking he was Mundungus, but when Harry said the password Remus backed off and told Harry they were betrayed. Later Remus and Tonks attended Bill and Fleur's wedding, but it got crashed by the Death Eaters and Remus told Harry, Ron, and Hermione to flee. Remus met up with them weeks later and told them Tonks was in the seventh month of her pregnancy, but he did not want to admit that Teddy might be a werewolf. This was not the case; on April 4, 1998 Teddy was born and he was a full metamorph and did not inherent lycanthropy. Remus and Tonks answered the call to arms and took part in the Battle of Hogwarts, but it did not end well. They were cornered by Bellatrix and Dolohov and they dueled to the death. Remus and Tonks died like heroes and never left each other's sides. Teddy was left as an orphan, but Harry agreed to protect him, as he was now his guardian.
9. This order member was assigned to the security detail protecting the prime minister. Her cover was blown and Voldemort killed her personally. Which of these women listed was killed first in the attack on Downing Street in "Half Blood Prince"?

Answer: Emmaline Vance

Emmaline was assigned to the security detail with Kingsley on the night she died. Amelia was stationed as her house just down the street. The Death Eaters then broke into Downing Street in the middle of the night, and they dueled Kingsley and Emmaline. Kingsley escaped and brought backup from the Aurors, but Emmaline was killed.

The Death Eaters tortured Amelia's location out of her before Voldemort killed both of them personally. Losing Amelia and Emmaline was a big blow to the Order: two of their best witches were dead and the prime minister's life was at risk. Security was doubled and Kingsley was assigned to the security detail; after the Death Eaters used an imperious curse on Herbert Chorley who was staying at Downing Street that night when the attack happened.
10. This Order member was undercover for most of the last three books, but was forced to blow their cover when Harry showed up in town and triggered the Death Eaters' alarm. Who is this person?

Answer: Aberforth

Aberforth was there since the beginning, and he was told by his brother to remain undercover. When Voldemort rose to power the first time, Aberforth told Dumbledore that the Death Eaters were in his tavern, and he chased them out. When the prophecy was given he caught Wormtail and Snape eavesdropping, and evicted Wormtail and Mundungus while Dumbledore went after Snape. Aberforth got himself in trouble between the wars when he did illegal goat charming, and Rita Skeeter slandered him in the papers, but Aberforth would not let that keep him down. Aberforth watched Hagrid's and Voldemort's poker game in "The Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone".

He told Dumbledore that Voldemort was inside his bar, and sold Hagrid a dragon. At the same time, Hagrid told him where the Stone was hidden and how to beat Fluffy. Harry and Dumbledore went after Voldemort and defeated him, and the Stone was destroyed.

In "The Order of the Phoenix", Aberforth and Mundungus were witnesses when Dumbledore's Army was formed, and they and Harry told Dumbledore and the Order about its formation, but he forbade the group from ordering firewiskey since half of them were underage. Aberforth was the one who bought the mirror from Mundungus to communicate with Harry, who still had the shards. Harry showed up in Hogsmeade before the battle and tripped the Death Eaters' alarm. Aberforth was forced to blow his cover, and distracted the Death Eaters enough to allow Harry, Ron and Hermione to sneak into his tavern to hide. Aberforth and Hermione alerted the Order and Dumbledore's Army and they came and fought and the Battle of Hogwarts had begun.
