Answer: The Weird Sisters

Dumbledore books the Weird Sisters for the Yule Ball, a formal dance that is only held during the Triwizard Tournament. Since it's the first Yule Ball in a long time, it becomes an important event for all the fourth year and above students who are allowed to attend, and everyone is even more excited when they learn the Weird Sisters will be the entertainment. Since they are such a big hit, maybe the Weird Sisters even help Harry forget his awkward first dance with Parvati? Here's a little known fact - despite their name, all of the Weird Sisters are men!

Answer: Ambrosius Flume

In "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", Harry visits the temporary home of Professor Slughorn with Dumbledore, and learns that Ambrosius Flume was a member of the Slug Club. Mr. Flume and his wife own Honeydukes Sweetshop, one of Hogsmeade's most popular stores and a favorite of both Hogwarts students and professors.

Some of their popular treats include Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, Chocolate Frogs and Liquorice Wands. Besides its famous chocolate and sweets, a very important feature of Honeydukes is the secret passageway to Hogwarts.

Answer: Gwenog Jones

Gwenog Jones is a professional Quidditch player for the all-female Holyhead Harpies. She attended Hogwarts, and Professor Slughorn lists her as one of his favorite students - probably because she still gives him free tickets! As a member of the Slug Club, Gwenog returns to Hogwarts for one of Professor Slughorn's gatherings, and Hermione gets to meet her in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

Answer: Cornelius Fudge

Cornelius Fudge was the Minister for Magic who had Hagrid sent to Azkaban in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". Hagrid had previously been accused of opening the Chamber of Secrets when he was at school, and since Fudge wanted it to look as if the Ministry was doing something to stop the attacks on students, he had Hagrid sent to Azkaban based on this old accusation. Hagrid was eventually freed after Fudge's mistake. Fudge remained Minster for Magic for a few more years, during which time he launched an extensive smear campaign against Harry and Dumbledore.

He eventually resigned after the Battle of the Department of Mysteries and was replaced by Rufus Scrimgeour.

Answer: Xenophilius Lovegood

Xenophilius Lovegood publishes "The Quibbler", a wizard tabloid. Many of the stories in "The Quibbler" are about non-existent magical animals or crazy conspiracy theories about the oddest topics. Xenophilius' daughter, Luna, attends Hogwarts with Harry and is considered rather odd herself, as she believes everything in "The Quibbler". Xenophilius plays an important role in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" when he explains to Harry, Ron and Hermione what the Deathly Hallows are and is later arrested by Death Eaters.

Answer: Rita Skeeter

Rita Skeeter is a journalist who works primarily for "The Daily Prophet" and writes many sensationalized stories. She first appears in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", where she interviews Harry and turns his answers into a half-true piece about his life. Rita can secretly turn into a beetle, which helps her gather information, and Hermione uses this fact in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" to blackmail Rita into writing a true story about Lord Voldemort's return, which is published in "The Quibbler".

Answer: Viktor Krum

Viktor Krum became the seeker for the Bulgarian national team when he was only 18 years old and still at school. He catches the snitch in the Quidditch World Cup in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", although Bulgaria loses to Ireland. He becomes the Durmstrang Champion for the Triwizard Tournament later in the book. Viktor has a bit of a crush on Hermione and invites her to the Yule Ball, which makes many people jealous.

Answer: Bellatrix Lestrange

Bellatrix Lestrange, sister to Narcissa Malfoy and aunt to Draco, is one of Lord Voldemort's most devoted followers. After Voldemort's downfall, Bellatrix maintains that he will rise again, and she never deserts him. For this, Voldemort promises to reward her.

In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" Bellatrix escapes from Azkaban and tries to steal the prophecy during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, where she kills Sirius, her first cousin. In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", she takes part in the Battle of Hogwarts, where Molly kills her after Bellatrix almost kills Ginny.

Answer: Ariana

Ariana Dumbledore was Professor Dumbledore's sister and the youngest of the Dumbledore children. After being attacked by Muggle boys when she was a child, she was traumatized and never the same. She accidentally killed their mother during an outburst of magic, and Dumbledore canceled his big world tour to take care of her from then on.

A few years later, Ariana was killed when she was struck by a curse from a duel between her brothers and Gellert Grindelwald. She was only 14.

Answer: Ollivander

Mr. Ollivander owns the wand shop in Diagon Alley, and has sold many wizards their first wands. He has a remarkable ability to remember the qualities of each wand he sells. He is considered the best wandmaker in the world, and sold Harry his wand. In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", Ollivander is imprisoned in Malfoy Manor with Luna, and is eventually freed by Harry and his friends. Once free, Ollivander tells Harry some helpful information about the Elder Wand.
