Cho Chang is in Ravenclaw and in the year above Harry. She plays for the Ravenclaw quidditch team. She used to be the girlfriend of Cedric Diggory, but after his death, she starts dating Harry for a short while. Cho is also the first girl Harry kisses. Their relationship ends after her friend, Marietta, tells Professor Umbridge about the DA in Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts.

Ginny Weasley is the youngest child, and only daughter, of Arthur and Molly Weasley. Ever since she met Harry at approximately 10 years old, she has had a crush on him. When she attends Hogwarts, the two of them become good friends as she is the sister of Harry's best friend, Ron Weasley. Through the years, Ginny kind of becomes Harry's rock, his steady ground.

After the Second War, she marries Harry Potter and has three children, named James, Albus Severus and Lily.

Luna Lovegood is a Ravenclaw who is known for being very weird. Her father is the editor of "The Quibbler" and the two of them believe in stuff nobody else does, which includes plants and animals nobody have ever heard of. In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", she becomes friends with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville.

When Harry is feeling like there's nobody to talk to about his problems, he finds comfort in talking to Luna. Since Luna's mother died when Luna was nine years old, Luna has been able to see thestrals, and she is the one who explains to Harry what they are.

Lily Potter is Harry's mother and, since she died when he was only one year old, he cannot remember meeting her. Even so, he mentions her in just about every book, and every time she is mentioned, it is also mentioned that Harry has her eyes. Lily is a muggle-born witch who is placed in Gryffindor when arriving at Hogwarts. During her younger years and up through her schooling at Hogwarts she was friends with Severus Snape, who was placed in Slytherin when arriving at Hogwarts. Lily was killed by Voldemort in 1981, alongside her husband, James Potter.

She sacrificed herself to save her son, Harry, which makes the Killing Curse on Harry backfire.

Fleur Delacour is French, and attends The Beauxbaton Academy of Magic. In "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", she and Harry become competitors in the Triwizard Tournament. In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", she marries Bill Weasley and becomes a sister-in-law to Harry when he marries Ginny Weasley, who is the younger sister to Bill Weasley.

She and Bill take up residence at Shell Cottage which belonged to one of Bill's ancestors. Fleur and Bill have three children.
