'The Lone Ranger' started as a radio show in 1933 and became a TV show which ran from 1949 to 1957. The show, set in the American Old West, featured a former Texas Ranger (known as The Lone Ranger) who fought outlaws accompanied by his friend Tonto. Silver was the name of The Lone Ranger's horse while Tonto rode a house called Scout.
