The state song for Illinois is, "Illinois"; the state song for New York is, "I Love New York"; the song to represent the state of Alaska is, "Alaska's Flag"; finally, the state song, however, for Connecticut is, "Yankee Doodle Dandy".

Answer: Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt became president at the age of 42. John F. Kennedy was 43 when he was intiated to the Presidency. Constitutionally, the minimum age to become President of the United States is 35 years old.
3. The phrase "in the black" means what?

Answer: making a profit

All of these are phrases that have a double meaning. 'Out of the blue', for example, means "unexpectedly". To 'Take the bull by the horns' means "to deal courageously with a situation".
4. During the American Civil War, each battle had only one name?

There were some battles during the Civil War that had two names. The Battle of Bull Run, for example, was named by the North after Bull Run Creek. The more unfamilar name given by the South is Manassas, which was the nearest town. The South referred to some battles by the nearest town or city, whereas the North named some battles after the nearest body of water.

The names given by the North are more recognizable because the North won the Civil War.
5. Which American president was the first to serve two terms, non-consecutively?

Answer: Grover Cleveland

Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and the 24th President of the United States. His first term was from 1885 to 1889. His second, and last, term was from 1893 to 1897.
6. What is the acceleration due to gravity?

Answer: 9.81 m/s2 (meters per seconds squared)

This is the constant number used for the acceleration on Earth due to gravity.
7. What breed of dog cannot bark?

Answer: basenji

Instead of barking, it produces a 'yodel' sound.
8. What other animal, besides a cat, has baby kittens?

Answer: beaver

Beaver have baby kittens. Otters have pups, cows have baby calves, and lions have cubs for their offspring.
9. What was Walt Disney's first cartoon?

Answer: Alice's Wonderland

This is not to be confused with "Alice in Wonderland", which came out in 1951. "Alice's Wonderland" was Disney's first cartoon and it came out in 1924. "Steamboat Willie" was the first cartoon with sound in 1928.
10. In the United States, every city belongs to a state.

Answer: false

This may come to a shock to some, but there is one city that does not belong to any one State. The capital city of Washington, D.C. borders Maryland and Virginia but does not belong to either of those states.
