Answer: 8

Her name is Jennifer 8. Lee, but her New York driver license reads "Eight". The number 8 symbolizes prosperity and good luck. I wonder why this doesn't catch on?
4. Fortune cookie wisdom can come from the Analects, a book written by which famous person?

Answer: Confucius

Confucius is probably the most widely known Chinese philosopher in history. He lived from 551 BCE - 479 BCE. Confucius started Confucianism, a religion that was dedicated to him.

Most Chinese philosophy starts with "Confucius said...."
5. "The Joy Luck Club" is a book by Amy Tan, which talks about the non-Chinese origin of fortune cookies. The actual club in the book starts from Chinese immigrants who play what game for money?

Answer: Mahjong

The book is about June Woo and other people in the club who listen to each other's problems to feel better about themselves.

The book eventually became a movie in 1993, produced by Oliver Stone, and directed by Wayne Wang. The movie is noted for consisting primarily of Asian American women. (Well yeah, isn't that what the book is about?)
6. The two US cities that claim to be the home of the fortune cookie are just 383 miles apart. What state are the two cities in?

Answer: California

Los Angeles and San Francisco both claim to be the home of the fortune cookie.

Makoto Hagiwara of Golden Gate Park's Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco claims that he invented the fortune cookie, as a Japanese desert extension in 1909. But 383 miles away, in L.A., David Jung, founder of the Hong Kong Noodle Company in Los Angeles also claims himself as the origin, in 1918.

In 1983 (about 50 years later), the San Francisco Court of Historical Review decided that San Francisco was the rightful owner, but Los Angeles condemned the ruling.
7. In the movie "The Fortune Cookie", Henry Hinkle, played by Jack Lemmon, is a cameraman for what TV news station?

Answer: CBS

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau begin playing in movies together starting with "The Fortune Cookie", a movie about an insurance rort involving an accident during a football game.

The movie was released on October 19, 1966. Walter Matthau won an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

UNICORN FOOT, EK! is missing an E, and added a N.
9. In the 2003 comedy "Freaky Friday", Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan's characters switch bodies as a result of opening a mysterious fortune cookie. This movie is a remake of the 1976 movie with Barbara Harris and whom?

Answer: Jodie Foster

In the 1976 version of the movie, Barbara and Jodie's characters switch places just by wishing, instead of by way of the mysterious fortune cookie. There is also a water ski-ing sub-plot, but I don't want to spoil the movie for you.
10. Musician Alana Davis's second album is titled "Fortune Cookies". Which of these singles placed higher on the Billboard Hot 100 than the other three?

Answer: 32 Flavors

Released in 2001, "32 Flavors" placed #37, while the other three didn't even rank. Alana Davis' father was a pianist who played with Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie.
