The New Deal was a set of laws passed by Congress in the 1930s, designed to help the nation through the Great Depression. Among the legislation passed were Banking Acts, National Housing Acts, the Fair Employment Act and Social Security. Lyndon Johnson's program was called 'A Great Society', 'The Fair Deal' was a name given to the domestic programs of Harry Truman and 'The Final Frontier' is from "Star Trek".
